rolling fog replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. Pedersen 5. Hogan 4. Hibberd 3. Jones 2. Melksham 1. Lewis Next from Trac, Nev, Gus and Tyson very stiff -
Like the positive slant on Tyson, Joeboy. Was rarely sighted after half time

6. Pederson 5. Jones 4. Chompers Harmes 3. Hibberd 2. Oliver 1. Lewis Mentions to Brayshaw, OMac, ANB and Tyson - the latter two went missing in the second half. -
Love it How long until someone mentions disposal efficiency?

6. Hibberd 5. Jetta 4. TMac 3. Lewis 2. OMac 1. Watts Definitely the hardest 6-1 of the year so far, apologies to the 16 others in the Red and Blue today - genuine 22 man effort. -
Pies fans want out of QB Big freeze match

Thanks for your imput -
Rolled his ankle quite badly last week and was doubtful if he would get up for QB. Then got a bad knee to his back in the fist five mins of QB and was reportedly spasm-ing according to Goody's presser. The rest is history on that one - would be suprised if he wasn't named

Disposal efficiency is probably the closest thing - Tyson currently going at 67.5% for the year so far...

CAN'T BELIEVE IT WASN'T TYPED IN ALL CAPS -
I'll take the bait re: Tyson, he was BOG against the Bulldogs last year with 32 touches and, surprisingly, just the one clanger. Admittedly, that match was at the G last year. However, if the speed of the deck is going to be an issue I think we can look elsewhere before we give Tyson the Tijuana.

At the start of the season I pencilled in the next month as being a barometer of where we're at regardless of how many wins we're on at the time. 10-12 for mine.

Pies fans want out of QB Big freeze match

He was practically begging for Trac to move to the Pies (club he supported as a kid) in the interview I heard on MMM yesterday morning -
I haven't been a big fan of the count down clock appearing on the Tissot advertising signage around the ground, but there was something almost poetic about Harmes streaming down the outer wing while the milliseconds were counting down in the background. Then as he kicked to Watt's advantage sections of MFC supporters in the Southern Stand appeared to rise as one as they knew either way something big was about to happen

Here's the Big Footy thread that I think we may be referring to here: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/collingwood-need-to-end-their-association-with-melbourne-on-qb.1168243/ I try to avoid that place at the best of times, however if recent political events have taught us anything, we should seek out the opinions of those who disagree with us, do away with the confirmation bias......and then have a big old chortle at the pies supporters! Haha!! -
My thoughts exactly, Chris
-
Worth noting that we were the older and more experienced of the two sides yesterday. Avg Age: MFC - 25yrs 0d precisely!, CFC - 23yrs 261d Avg games: MFC - 92 games, CFC - 75 Difference is by no means earth shattering, but does still equate to 1-2 seasons more experience. I choose to read into this that the balance is starting to turn and we're no longer going to always be the younger of the two sides on the park. Yesterday's performance (read: halftime onwards) should start to be the norm and not the exception

I get the vibe that he's really enjoying his footy at present. Seems really settled and slotted in nicely for mine
-
Collingwood's play on at all costs intensity brand of football exemplified
-
Pies supporters should get their own backyard in order before they put this loss down to poor umpiring. Start by protecting a 30+ point lead, especially against a team who's proven their ability to reel teams in from such leads over the course of the year

FWIW Tyson is currently 6th in the league for clangers, behind: 1. Fyfe 60 2. T Mitchell 56 3. (Equal) D Martin, Zorko 53 5. Dangerfield 52 6. Our man 48 ...make of that what you will

This seems to be an increasingly familiar refrain for may supporters of Melbourne based clubs of late, as least that I've encountered, even amongst friends who support other clubs. I mean, I can see where they're coming from and/or why they might think that. But to me it also smacks a bit of the chubby kid who got picked on a high school, and has come back from summer holidays looking sharp and some don't know how deal with it. Unfamiliarity can be scary to some.

Agree with the sentiment completely, Franky. But surely based on the above OMac stays in... In: Maximus Gawn/Spencer - Pedo rotates out at deep forward Out: Harmes, ANB
-
Spot on, Deeman. Effectively an 8 point game for mine - a bit of a cliche and agree with it or not we need to tip scales toward 7-5 before the month ahead of DS and TIO along with three 6 day breaks

There's some absolute spun gold over at Big Footy right now... ...this isn't bad for a laugh https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/collingwood-need-to-end-their-association-with-melbourne-on-qb.1168243/ *chortle chortle*
