  1. According to Tim Watson, it happened during the game about 20 minutes after hitting Ebert.
  2. I don't think so. The problem with this, is that he is very fumbly below his knees. It would be handy to have a player with some pace in there though.
  3. Said no one ever...... Can you cite an example where he has shown this at AFL level?
  4. I don't rate hawthorn this year. But with their forwards and ours backs it's hard to see this happening. Maybe those that rated out Brisbane win will forgive and forget. But for those that could see it last week and didn't just look at the final score, this won't be the case.
  5. Lamb would fit in perfectly with our half forwards that can't hit a target.
  6. The last line is the point, we have more pressing needs. If you could get him for a first rounder, we would do that in a heartbeat, but he will cost more than that. The other issue is how much we are paying him, which would be just as crucial. Considering we only have Frost and Oscar McDonald developing as key defenders, this needs to be a priority. In the midfield we have a group players with the potential to become high quality players (Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca). We then have a couple the rung below (Tyson and Salem).
  7. That would imply he has shown something in a game? He has looked like the same player in all the games I have seen.
  8. You can, just need to use 2 first rounders every 4 years (90% confident on the 2nd part).
  9. I don't think anyone would disagree that Prestia would be in our best team and a good contributor. The argument that people keep ignoring is the cost. Both in terms of getting a trade done and salary cap space. What are you prepared to give up for him? I, like many others, think there are many more pressing needs and unless we were getting an amazing deal, I cant see why he would be a priority.
  10. Uncalled for. He has stated an opinion, which you disagree with. Get over it. At this stage it has not been proven right or wrong and if you can't see both sides of the argument, you need to open your eyes.
  11. Thanks. http://www.sen.com.au/news/afl/05-16/petracca-setbacks-have-helped-me-develop#PvTlZtYqGXl0sSR5.97
  12. Aren't we paying H 500 a year? If so, you could easily see TMacs and even Howes arguments.
  13. Really? Didn't he come in as a 3rd tall, behind Rivers and Frawley in a role that his attributes suit? Oscar's role at AFL level will be to play on the big forwards as he is much slower than Tom. He needs to get much stronger before he does this at AFL level.
  14. Are you really disputing that he is slow, fumbly, extremely one sided, fails to take the body in the contest and has average skills? There was one appaling effort where a Brisbane player ran into the goal square while he just stood there. We are in serious trouble with key backs. Dunn has lost any pace and agility he once had. To think he used to run with boomer. Frost is an extremely average defender despite having many attributes which should make him a good one. Pederson, I think would be our best bet, he has a decent kick on him at least, alt ough he likes to give 2m handballs for no reason. Wagner is competing well in the air against taller players, but is so slow. I fear the Hawks game already with their half forwards, will have a day out unless things change.
  15. Maybe a little unfair on the poster because he is just repeating what the Australian U/18 coach said. But, I still can't believe he got away with it during the draft coverage, Dunstall was shocked (and impressed) when he said it. If he had of taken 11 contested marks in a half of a VFL game there is no way he would have made it to our pick. I have watched the game a couple of times and he fades out after the first quarter where he took 5 marks. I do like the look of Weideman, my concerns with him last year were his tackling/pressure and the lack of possessions throughout his games. From the bits and pieces I have seen online, his defensive work looks to have improved out of sight and it appears he is still working on finding more of the footy. It's hard to judge this from videos as you can't always tell how deep he is.
  16. So if you carelessly fall and trip another player you should be suspended? According to the rules, yes. Using common sense, no. I would need to see it again, but my thoughts at the time were that he didn't trip him, would say it was more of a kick, which is also reportable. Similar to jumper punches if there isn't much force, nothing happens. Gorgoroth is probably on the money that he might have got a fine if it wasn't going to lead to a suspension. I would be filthy if one of our players got suspended for that, Vince has been getting away with more.
  17. Wasn't much in it and looked to be above the knee.
  18. He had 24 goals after 10 games last season. Keep in mind he only played the 20 games in 2015. He is doing a little bit more so far this season, but his goal kicking is stopping him from showing huge improvement. It would be a great result if he could get 60 goals. From memory I think he would have been 1st or 2nd in the league for contested marks at this point of the season in 2015.
  19. I don't think it was Bont, there was a press conference at one stage where Roos aludded to him being rated outside the top 10 players in the draft.
  20. At half back? Played well last week but is rubbish as a forward. Looks like Collingwood is now aware of this.
  21. I agree with most of what you say, but bringing up Cripps in the pick 2 discussion is a strange point. We could have had him at 9.
  22. He was promising, not dominant. 11 touches, 7 marks and 2 goals makes it hard to justify a dominate performance.
