Everywhere within 60kms of Adelaide books out for the Adelaide Test Match. Average daily crowd is around 35k. Assume tourists make up 20% and you come up with 7k tourists.

Judging from this forum which contains ardent supporters few made the trip. The reality is that for each club less than 1k can attend.

 

We would make at least 10 times the cost, never seen restaurants, retails and pubs so busy outside of the fringe festival.  

Love Kossie and his aggression, but he needs to learn the risk (fine lines) of jumping into someone with a raised elbow comes with a consequence.

I do think that Umpires are influenced by the crowd and their own observers when officiating matches. Umpiring is a tough gig and I would hate to be one but when supporters boo decisions (at all grounds) that are actually correct it does not help their cause. And some rules (stand, 50m pen, hands in the back) are simply ridiculous and should be amended to make the umpires job easier.

God I hope they stay mediocre for another 10 years, they deserve stuff all.

In addition to the Dees I will be heading to the double header on Saturday, im hoping Freo and the Dogs can produce an upset.

I get umpires make mistakes but some of the rules and the application (stand rule, 50m penalties, hands in the back) are becoming a farce.

I would hate to be an umpire in todays game and the lack of opportunity for captains to react/discuss decisions also does not help to build relationships.

Gallagher got the nod this week, nothing against him but 90% of AFL players could get those numbers against WC.

If Baker had his eyes on the ball as part of attempting a mark then Richmond would have a case for appeal.

We played Essendon last year, I would prefer their kind stayed in Melbourne :).
