Caught up with a mate last night from Gold Coast area. He coached his son's team and in 2013 Harley Bennell and 2 other GC Suns attended a training session to run a clinic. The other 2 were ok but he said Bennell was clearly drug affected that night. He was slurring his words, swearing whilst adressing the group and told my mate that he was seeing stars and dizzy. He also said he had a tooth pulled that day so was affected from what he was given. Towards the end of the session Bennell had a spew and was blowing his nose out onto the ground. He then offered my bud a handshake (!) before departing with another player driving his vehicle.

Ice is a terrible drug. Having had my fun over the years with party drugs it's the drug I dislike ( and heroin ). I'm a good boy now though. Any mind altering drug that has an accompanying strength enhancing quality is dangerous . The high is 4 times stronger than cocaine. So your at a party have a toke high for 20 minutes then you feel absolutely terrible a lot worse than you were before so the need to go again is there. Highly addictive and obviously ruins people pretty quickly. My kids will be well educated on this, I'd urge everyone to do the same its everywhere. I reckon a lot of illness/ cancer will be attributed to ice in the next decade. A guy I knew died of stomach cancer at 33 he was a regular user. The government needs to ramp up its efforts against omc's on this for a start. They are losing the fight.

The shock of this on those close to the man will have a big effect physically and emotionally . It's probably unfair to trot the players out 3 days after his passing . Anyways there are qualified people in this area that will have a say at the afl and clubland I'm sure .

I'm sure the cats will understand , maybe their is a better idea with rescheduling or points awarded but the Afl should act immediately so the crows can concentrate on the situation at hand .

Afl should cancel the crows cats game immediately . Give them 2 points each . Crows shouldn't have to think about footy at this time .

GWS have lost out so far paying massive overs for a guy who has been a passenger and bit player until 6weeks ago . Hogan has given more in his short career this year than Scully has at his time at Gws imo . Scully will have an ok career if GWS remain a top 4-6 team otherwise forget it .

The code is unfair for a single athelete who is banned for a minor offence because the briganshaw scale makes it harder to prove guilt if the offence is more serious and deserves a bigger penalty . . Although if the cheating is varified at appeal they are in a world of trouble . Its a shame that people in the media and essendon supporters and the general public have a skewed view on the truth or think the players should get off , just because . Effectively empowering drug cheats .

Im not sure on that surely the longer we hold him back and allow healing the more chance we have of a career ahead.

Hogan and Garlo come in . Depends on balance with regard to the weagles as to who is dropped. Garlo for a small ( Bail Jones - id keep Riley ) Hogan for a tall or small?? JKH can wait a week . Our two ruckman should play its a great weapon. the other scenario is that Hogan is rested another week. likely if history is anything to go by.

Cam mooney loved Brayshaws pass to big Fitzy on sen today . The flogs , harford didn't pick it up either . Hopefully Spencer has a Gawn like game next week .

We will be slaughtered if we allow them an extra in defence. It will be hard enough with their backs out positioning our forwards and they read it well . one on one and see how we go.

Play Gawn foward spencer in also and maybe dawes as a decoy foward

Hate to see Howe go - simply put and I find it strange that people think clubs should trade away good players . Names come up this year like Murphy Gibbs Yarran for example why? Why would you give away guys who can play? look what happened when they lost Betts Garlett Robinson Waite . A little bit of Rogue is required in a brutal sport , characters in a group setting giving the guys spark in their own way. Howe gives us a spark in a different way and from all reports is great around the club during the week. Seriously people here want Watts and Howe to go . unbelievable. Trade away guys who have stagnated perhaps after giving good service or who don't have the opportunity they deserve. Guys who are a work in progress and have the attributes ( attributes are not ours in spades ) stay and be part of our run at success.Good coaching and a culture that allows people to be themselves and contribute on match day will be something worthwhile and hopefully they can look back at their time at Melbourne as a great time.

Fitzy for Cam - anb tags murdoch Riley was ok goes again stretch goes again . Alot of posters complain about our lesser lights bail , mjones not being up to afl standard but dont want to give young players a chance . Re anb and stretch .

last play was toumpas fault left his man to try recieve at the contest he will learn from that . Runner should have been out on theground when howe was shooting for goal , telling everyone ( xcept Jeffy )to get back if he kicks it mids to go one on one at bounce . We have work to do and need to be alot cleaner for longer
