Great win. Grimes got better as it went but needs to know when not to run and carry , running himself into an awkward position , guys like Watts and Salem stand whilst creeping foward / sideways giving themselves room to get a decent kick away . I'm hoping Grimes will make it but Salem is coming.

Hoping garlo stays and reckon he will would spew if he went to Hawthorn. Grimes would be a good fit for the Gold coast , can play a bit is a clean skin and a good age. Grimes and a pick or Grimes and Jamar for a player .

I like the settled side , give the kids a chance and hopefully clunker/clanger Dawes can redeem. If you wanted to start dropping blokes for errors etc last week we'd probably have Viney and Gawn v 22.

Usually the first quarters are a problem if they have a competent ruckman , we then adjust our starting positions in the 2nd to be more defensive and go o,k . Having different ruckman probably doesnt help but playing Maxy every week should have giving the group time to gel. Getting the balance right on the hitouts outside and inside will help also.

If Dawes is incapable of taking contested marks, or at least making a contest, then Spencer would be a better option. If we had of executed skills and decision making to somewhere around afl standard we would have 3-5 more goals on the board. we should be trying to sign Garlo up till stumps. very important player for the dees and highly rated amongst afl commentators such as the big Derm. Was huge for us on sunday.

Lamumba was good on the weekend. scrappy game and he had a positive effect on most contests he was involved in. Watching at the game he was a vital cog in our dominant defence . He showed class and poise in the 3rd quarter particularly to hit targets when others couldn't.
