How did Jacks pre season 2017 go from goodwin saying he is being dropped because we want him to jump at the footy more and if he does that he is back in - to the flogs on s.e.n saying he turned up in terrible shape etc , it’s rubbish yeah? Or did I miss something? Jack played well this season until the injury so he was as fit as expected or im sure he would not have been played , our culture wouldnt allow it .

You are saying that watts doesn't try? I dispute that. I'm also saying that there are some average footballers that try real hard but don't have the attributes like Jack and or simply have a bad game regardless of attributes or how hard they try. Yes its part of the equation . I know which player id keep. The whipping boy mentality continues, he doesn't try every week! lol There are many factors for an afl footballers formline. Every player has ups and downs including the guys you mentioned that give there all every-week and have had bad games.

Because they were all at the end of the career —retirement age , not moved on for off field issues that apparently effect the group . Betts wasnt paid what he was worth so he was undervalued and pushed out ( wrong yes? ) and garlett was involved in an incident and moved on because of poor character ( wrong again ) . Malthouse mark neeld specials . Watts is being juged incorrectly in my opinion and like betts and garlett has many years of good footy in front of him .

The players you have mentioned when they were moved on have nothing in common with our Jack your right it aint a great comparison.

The players mentioned play well every week? Dont have weaknesses? Are you watching or dreaming? You can give your all and play a bad game application is part of the equation .

The Watts critics are getting ahead of themselves , Jack has a lot of excuses that have neen outined in this thread he has done ok and is in our best 22 and is the player we need for the big stage , confident ball use and in front of goal , anyone see Betts and Walker capitulate on grand final day? Watts wont do that . And again he has played in a 12 win team that has been scrambling really playing guys in different positions , Watts at sydney or geelong will be what we get from him in a year or two we will be watching it happen elsewhere and your happy with that . Crazy In my opinion. We dont have any perfect players on our list . Jack for the good of our club tell us tomorrow your staying .

Say it aint so Jack - the only win out of this will be that I dont have to watch a player get on his own and be ignored when playing midfield so often , he will be used in a better team , getting ahead of ourselves is an understatement.

Cant remember but Roosy was standing up for himself there and id say it was the right deal to make If Salem can get an injury free couple of years , hindsight would say we should have taken Zac jones over salem but who knows eh clubs would pay 1 billion and twenty for an injury crystal ball . And yes Roosy is a guru .

Cmon mate he was thrown to the wolves ! Given games before he was ready ahead of other players . It wasnt good for anyone . Look at what we are doing with Weiderman’s development campared to Watts? We failed as a club - number one pick was our savior trot him out and let him cop the inordinate attention that the failures generate . We have ruined enough high draft picks coming to a dysfunctional club on and off field . Now we want the one that has survived and can play out of the club when providing the environment he should have been in from day 1 . Our club has a story the last decade includes a scrapheap of ruined careers Or guys who have gone and prospered elsewhere . If we cant have Watts succeed at our club I fear history is repeating.

Im not jumping off my demons just voting with my feet so to speak , In relation to giving the premium membership a miss if Watts goes . This reeks of another ‘Neelded’ moment to me . Goodwin mentioned when talking about Watts that the players and players association have called for player movement so that was what the club will do - could this be a hint as to why Jack is out of favour as a role model ? has he been towing the ‘union’ line in realtion to extra sessions or whatever , we dont have a perfect player onfield at our club and surely any off field stuff can be sorted out with some communication, Watts aint Jake stringer . I reckon Hogan is close with and looks up to Watts could this be the nudge to get him back to freo if his mate Jack is pushed out . Jack is in ours and most 22’s in the comp . Have you thought about him kicking bags of goals in the cats or swans jumper? We have used Jack as a swingman plugging holes really He has never played in settled plus ten win team . This is a huge mistake to offload him.

Ive emailed the club outlining why he should not be traded and that my membership will be cancelled if he goes . Say what you will but It actually makes me feel sick to think we will add Jack to the scrapheap of failed high draft picks- he is in our best 22 . We are making a mistake and he will do well elsewhere no doubt as he can with us , Jack is part of our story and we do this when its our time for finals . Handing over 600-700$ a year to watch dysfunctional club for 4 of the last 8 years with hope that guys like Watts can help turn it around and now he is being pushed out , most other clubs want him . we are making a mistake .
