IMO Clark is/was depressed, but I think you are right to question mark whether he is/was inherently depressed. Just from my observations on Clark, his depression might actually be more related to a need for attention. If Roos has his doubts on Clark, it is probably because he has realised Clark is borderline and unlikely to provide much going forward - even if he is on our list.

I think this is the best thing to happen to our prospects of getting a first round PP. It was all a public opinion issue for the AFL, we deserved one but wouldn't get one - because the football public would whinge. Now public opinion is firmly in our corner in regards to this Clark issue, this paves the way for the AFL to give us top compo. Happy days.

Clark up and running is our best player, so I am glad Roos is speaking up about compo.

We shouldn't jump to conclusions, just be patient, Mitch has suffered from a terrible illness. Let's just give this guy the benefit of the doubt until we know otherwise.

*I know we are talking Tyson, but I believe we'll land Kelly at some stage as well i've always seen Josh Kelly in a Demons jumper. Joint at the hip with Salem and we'd be best placed to land him. If there was a market on us landing Kelly at the end of his next contract, I'd load up on it. Kelly loves his AFL, if we get this club right, I believe we'd land him. Greater Western Sydney won't work, it won't be too long before players start to see what time it is. Lance Franklin was a pretty big boast for Sydney, without Buddy, there interest in that market would be zero. I cannot for the life of me see Sydney as a place I'd want to play my football.

We've won the lotto if we lose Frawley and gain Mitchell. Frawley isn't much of a footballer, Mitchell is in the mould of Dom Tyson - pure football.

Tyson is a pure footballer. Most promising player I've seen at the club since Ox.

This is how good Lewis Taylor is, Aish will always play second fiddle to him. And I think Aish will be a superstar.

I am only surprised Taylor didn't win by further.

Keep the pick and hope Petracca is there. If he isn't - then take Brayshaw. I think Brayshaw is a safe selection.

As far as I know is yet to re-sign at Port. Former Murray Bushranger and Shepparton lad. If Frawley does decide to leave, then Clurey would be a good replacement.

I don't mind the decision to keep Terlich on. He has had a poor year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he thought Roos didn't like him - and would move him on. Now Roos has shown faith in Terlich, I would not be surprised to see improvement from him next year. There are areas that he needs to improve on, but he'll be keen to reward Roos for the faith he shown in him.

We will get top compo. Frawley will be going for a fair quid. Clubs don't have to give up a pick, so the incentive is there. Clubs will pay that extra coin, otherwise they'll be without, their premiership hopes could rest heavily on recruiting a KP backman.

I am usually a glass half full MFC supporter, but I don't expect much improvement next year. The loss of Frawley will hurt. GWS and GC will improve, Brisbane appearing on the up, inclusion of Rich will help to. MFC will tail out with St Kilda, painful times ahead IMO.

Roos has already stated that we need class through the midfield. So I think we are very well placed. If Petracca lasts till pick 2, we take him... Otherwise we take Brayshaw. Personally, I'd take Brayshaw, he is a dual sided, contested ball and skillful player. But.. I understand the hype about Petracca, he has made massive inroads this year. Big bodied kid, explosive, athletic, loves a goal and appears to have that natural - freakish - talent. Happy with either these guys, would be a dream to land both. For what it is worth, I think St Kilda might take Wright.

Terlich probably isn't up to it, but we aren't in a position to chance our arm.

I agree. Sadly though, the AFL don't even realise how bad our list is. We desperately need assistance, even if it isn't a PP, we need extra cap space - and the money to spend 100% of it. The gap between MFC and Sydney Swans is a farce.

He had illness over the pre-season. Basically did not have a pre-season. This isn't Dimboola reserves he is playing in, it is the AFL, where half the players are performance enhanced machines - who can run all day long. Judge Salem after a pre-season, he has all the right tools to make it as an AFL player.

Yeah pretty sure he played as a mid/back flanker in the juniors.

I think our biggest issue is lack of talent. Not only do we need more talent, but the talent we have needs to lift. Much rests on the shoulders of Jimmy Toumpas coming into 2015. He is one player that desperately needs to lift. Taken at pick 2, we expect much more from him. Trengove another player that will need to lift. I know he will be coming off a bad injury, but pre-injury he was too slow for AFL. Another high draft pick who hasn't been up to AFL standard the past few years. I expect further improvements from Salem, JKH and Viney - all showing great signs.
