Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
KingDingAling replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
No biggy, would've shifted us up 10 or so spots in the draft order. From 10-25 this draft is fairly even. We get to keep Trengove and give him another shot at playing, feel good story. I reckon he'll bounce back. -
Roos will move on Trengove, Watts and Toumpas, because they don't have what it takes. Mentally, they are just not up to it. It is a shame, but I expect Roos will move on them and get whatever he can.
-
I read the other day that even Dangerfield is sick of the speculation.
-
The Bullies fans seem to think 4 and 7 is a done deal for Griiffen - if they miss out on Boyd. I reckon they are off their heads, Griffen is 29 FFS.
-
GWS knocked it on the head.
-
Yeah, I agree.
-
I would do that if I was Adelaide as well. But, to their credit, they have opted to keep Dangerfield and back themselves in.
-
Dangerfield and Adelaide have categorically said otherwise, nice try though.
-
I think we'll keep the draft picks and take them into the draft. We'll ask the question in regards to Beams and throw up 3, 12, but I think Beams legitimately wants to move home. It isn't Dangerfield, neither Adelaide or Dangerfield want any part in a trade - not that Demonland pays much notice of that. Shiel wouldn't command 3 and 12. Treloar would - but I don't expect he'll want out. I think Treloar would be our most likely target. But I don't think we'll land him, and I think we'll take our picks to the draft.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
KingDingAling replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think the Crows will pull the trigger on this trade. It is unlikely they'll get Durdin at 10 - especially if the Bullies remain at 6. So Trengove will appeal to them, they might have an SA kid at 23 in their sights. Trengove looked the best junior to come out of SA since Buckley - Adelaide will remember Trenners junior days. -
Good player, a lot of talent. Only questions marks over his character.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
KingDingAling replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dangerfield still has a year to run. Haven't seen many players in recent times get on the front foot like Paddy. Not going anywhere I wouldn't think. -

The club should be about results and Trengove hasn't produced them. Trengove, Watts and Toumpas on the chopping block for mine. Would not be surprised to see a couple of them go. -

Hopefully we can prize pick 12 out of the Tigers for Trengove without giving up 23. Wouldn't mind trading Toumpas to Adelaide for 10 either. Would give us 2, 3, 10, 12, 23. But in all likelihood we lose 23. This is a decent draft, I'd back Roosy in on this one. -
I put my money on that guy,

Those who had Beams in their supercoach sides and watched him closely - will be happy to see this trade happen. Footballers footballer. Goal kicking midfielder, gets his ball on the inside and out. I thought he was Collingwoods best this year. Exceptional player and extremely unlikely pick 3 would become half the player Beams is.

Dangerfield is staying at the Crows. Can we end this thread? It is ridiculous.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

If that Adelaide deal has legs to it, then we should take their pick 10 and keep it - not offload it to Collingwood for Beams. 2, 3, 10 sets us up VERY well for this draft, I hope we back ourselves in. Petracca, Brayshaw and Laverde/Ahern. -

Same, I'd do this trade in a heartbeat. Trengove just isn't the player people think he is. -
Yeah, I get that, doesn't hurt to offer. Beams is exactly the type of player we need running through the midfield.
-
3 and 12 would get it done for Beams.

I can't listen to Nathan Brown anymore, Im out. Probably the dumbest footballer I have heard speak. Ever.

The tail may be wagging the dog, but the players need a coach they respect. Port Adelaide clearly play for their coach, they respect him, he earned that respect. McCartney was a bit of an authoritarian - and that is never going to work with a fragile list. So the dogs do need a new coach, and this is regardless of Griffen threatening to leave. Today's players will respond better to a coach who's ego has completely disappeared, that is why Buckley is also finding life tough. These coaches aren't adapting to the times, they know their footy - but their people handing skills are lacking. We are lucky to have Paul Roos.

AFL involved in Port Adelaide/Essendon Draft Rort
KingDingAling replied to deanox's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think I can hate them anymore than I already do. Essendon represent a club run on self interest, that does not take responsibility for it's actions. If they say dogs are just like their owners, I'd say clubs are like their coaches.
