Appeal. First witness is the AFL doctor.
Question: why did you deem the head high contact so minimal as to allow the player to continue the game without any further assessment?
Game. Over.

For all the BT haters, give the guy a break, he just dropped the funniest thing I've ever heard.
"I've done the math Richo"
Had me in stitches.

The Tex mark over Clarry, where May was being held out of the contest? Doesn't the player at least have to pretend he's going to mark the ball?

Did the player leave the field to be assessed?
If not it's almost impossible to argue it's anywhere near medium impact

I reckon Jason Taylor has moved on from his Presidents of the United States (Adams, Jefferson, Jackson, Van Buren) meme and has moved on to cheese. Because not only is there a frightening looking Windsor Red, but guess what the Danish Tholstrup company is most famous for?
Pretty sure it was Colby we were trying to trade up the draft for, too.
EDIT: Can confirm the is such a thing as Brown cheese.
Thank heavens he didn't draft a Richard....

Having just come back from hols in Phuket I've realised who Tommy Mac reminds me of - an inmate in a Siberian gulag - because that is what Phuket has become - a very outer suburb of Moscow.
As a resident, I can confirm this is accurate.
Of Phuket I mean, not a Siberian gulag...

He looks like he's trimmed right down there. Must've done a stack of work in the off season. Good signs.

If Spargo played vs the pies, we win the flag. For me it's that simple.

Would that be temperature awareness?

I'm surprised we don't have tennis players lining up to sponsor us given our recent finals record

A paper bag in the middle of the road huh, fancy tripe eating pants! You rich people want to just rub it in ... we lived under tree bark in a laneway at the bottom of a hill where the rain water would pool!
It was a long time ago!
PS - reckon WC will do a deal for pick 1 on draft night.
You were lucky!

Geez, they are like the weird ex who just won't leave you alone.
Let it go Adelaide.
Maybe we should try the old 'sorry Adelaide, it's not you, it's us' trick.

One of the first Free Agency moves could be James Jordon to Sydney. The return to Melbourne is likely to be modest.
James Jordon
Unrestricted free agent – Melbourne to Sydney
Jordon is a rare case as a younger unrestricted free agent and holds his status because he was delisted by the Demons earlier in his career.
The 22-year-old made 17 AFL appearances in 2023, but six of them came as the starting substitute. A Victorian, he’s believed to move to the harbour city in search of greater opportunities.
The nomination was reported last week by AFL Media’s Cal Twomey but is yet to be confirmed by either the Swans or Melbourne
The First Free Agency Moves That Could Be Made On Friday
Trade radio keep pretending there actually is a formula to the compensation, and actually tried to communicate that at one stage, but they keep saying from age 25, etc, etc. I did note they said it was sliding scale depending on age, the younger the player the lower the salary needs to be for compensation.
Given JJ is only 22, surely the compensation should be higher than what we would expect?

There's a doco on Duran Duran at 7.30 tonight (SBS). I think I'll watch that.
Fair enough, just save a prayer for those poor Lions fans.

So there's another concussion for Nathan Murphy.
I assume all the Collingwood [censored] that were calling on Gus to be banned due to multiple concussions are happy to ban 'Glass Jaw' Murphy?
