  1. He needs to get over it. He has a choice, start fresh now with a new mindset, or sit back in his chair at 40 knowing he wasted a ton of potentual but will forever be a forgotten AFL player, and a disgrace at that! Perceive this as unfair, then start watching him when one on one.
  2. Salam has shown more in 10 minutes than 80 minutes from Howe and Watts. Can we just copy watts and howe and go ctrl x but never paste them again? They dont deserve to be in this team
  3. Three words for tonights game: Watts F*** ***!
  4. He did. Easily the worst player on ground and one of our worst players on the AFL list!
  5. Watts has to be a waste of space at this club. Anyone who thinks he is a good player, even average is biased or kidding themselves. He cant/wont even be prepared to do the basics; block, run and carry, defend, mark. It's basics you cant teach a player. They either have the hunger or they dont. Despite Watts being contracted, I would play him at VFL for the remainder of the year, ALL year. He needs to make a spot for himself in the team but with non negotables not being followed, im not even sure if he deserves to be listed on the AFL list.
  6. Geez. Come on! I expected a more violent, abusive response. [censored] weak!
  7. Watts, GONE! And I mean gone by years end...hopefully! Remove him from the banner. He is a disgrace of a player. De-list at years end
  8. Until such time that the Melbourne players warrant my attention, I will devote my interest to anything else besides the club. Bring on the game tomorrow, that will be another classic!
  9. Because he comes with a higher expectation being a higher draft pick. Like it or not, high draft picks are supposed to have at least good football skills and smarts. I don't see this with Watts but we had the opportunity to trade him and we didn't.
  10. Yeah I got that vomit taste too now that you mention it. Jesus what a joke! I am behind words right now, I need to rinse out that taste!!
  11. It's currently not positive, but it can be as early as 2015. Yes, sadly my fellow supporters, it's another year over for the demons. Paul Roos, some who would truely think he answeres to 'masih', needs time. Its in my personal opinion Roos should execute a mass killing by October. The following names should be thoes who suvive this exodus: Hogan, N. Jones, Salam, Watts, Toumpass, Dawes, Viney, Trengove, Tyson, McKenzie, Dunn, Cross, Garland, Michie, Vince, JKH, McDonald, Grimes, Gawn, Howe, Fitzpatrick, M.Jones and thoes drafted in 2013. Simple as that. Trade players with any wealth: J.Frawley - 1st Round pick S.Blease - 4th Round pick? L. Tapscott - pick in 4th round? Finish 16? Pick 3: Best midfielder (inside, tough) Pick in 1-20 (Frawley): Forward backup for Dawes and Hogan Pick 27ish: Key Defender to replace Frawley's loss Pick 45ish: Key midfielder Pick 63ish: Best available Pick 70ish (Blease): Best available Pick 70ish (Tapscott): Best available
  12. I tbhink its clear cut. And its been reported on every media platform, not just the HS. Let him go I say. We don't need players holding the club ransom to unreasonable requests. If he wants to stay at melbourne, now after this being released, we should offer him 10% less.
  13. Chip Frawley thinks he is worth $800K a year. This is the best news the MFC could have. We know where we stand right now. Chip has already committed to not signing with Melbourne and Roos should drop him to the VFL 2nds, or even not play him anywhere at all. If he doesn't want to play for us, he wont. Simple as that. I refuse to accept the idea that he is worth this money and lets face it, MFC have to rebuild again. Frawley; If I were coach, you would be on your ass for the next 6 months and I would slander the hell out of you as a player. Get lost!
  14. Melbourne supporters amaze me. We have a below standard AFL team. Prepare for tough times ahead!
  15. I think Melbourne, and its supporters have underestimated how far this team is behind compared to the rest of the AFL. Consider this, do you really expect that in Melbourne choosing the likes of Cook, Gysberts, Petterd, Newton, Maric, Morton (and every other wasted talent) that no other team would have chosen these players. Travis Johnstone, Petterd, Gysberts, Rivers, Sylvia have hardly played as stars for their new teams. And we often hear of players commenting on our training facilities and standards. The rebuild will take time. Like it or not, we are rebuilding now. Yes, we have been doing so for 7 years thats correct, but until now we have fu**** it all up. So the rebuild starts now. 2014. Dont expect to see a premiership for 10 years. Set the culture, set the standards, lockdown the club from all thoes who drive the club to the brink of collapse and maybe, just maybe, we may see the dees towards the top of the ladder (after round 1).....
  16. Kid could be good but personally I believe that what this club requires now is another Backman. If Frawley stays (and I doubt he will), then invest in the best choice key positioned backman. If Frawley stays, then invest in a medium sized, hard running defender. If stretch is available 2nd round, then take him by all means, as our second pick needs to be placed on another midfielder. Melbourne will finish 12th next year in my opinion and therefor I would assume we will get pick 7 (Med fast backman) , 30ish (Stretch) (with Free agent picks), 48ish. B: Hogan McDonald Pick 7 HB: Grimes Frawley Tompass C: Stretch Viney Michie HF: Howe Dawes Trengove F: Garland Clark Watts R: Gawn Salem Tyson I.C: N. Jones, Vince, Fitzpatrick S: Blease
  17. 2013; a year fueled by the Essendon supplements scandal. The Melbourne Football Club would happly forget 2013 as well, for its worsening state of affairs on and off field. Mark Neeld had players who were directed to follow himself and not the Melbourne Football Club traditions and culture. Still, we must also thank him for had his coaching method been so selfish, we wouldn't have obtained Paul Roos and a exciting management reshuffle. 2013 was a year I will happily bury deep and not allow to enter my mind. That year is erased from my memory!
  18. You could argue Molan is unfortunate there given it was injury that ruled him out. Gysberts, Cook and Morton poor poor decisions. Time to move on!
  19. sh** aint worth pursuing with. A locked in VFL player that is all.
  20. I LOVE the fact that Roos is unwilling to commit the new 2013 draftees to expectations of not playing in next season. This indicates to me that there is now some strategy (yet to be proven successful; yet an attempt) for a development program. I have limited expectations for next season. As long as the team is competitive that's all I care about. Whether Roos proves a success or not, we know that everything to date has been done to give this club the best chance. Only time will tell!
