  1. It’s got a grand total of ZERO to do with misogyny!!!! She’s simply an annoying pain in the [censored]. Male OR female, it matters not.

  2. Hear we are after nine rounds, won 9 with the highest percentage. Only one good player out injured. I remember not so long ago when at this point of the season our season was already over. ain’t it great now.

  5. I felt terrible for Kade Chandler. You’re frequently right on the very edge of the team. You come on with 15 to go and the result well beyond doubt, you have to make every chance to state your case count. He was trying to aggressively defend and he almost got it right, but ended up injuring the player. It was an accident and he seemed shaken.

  7. West Coast looked like they were cruising to an easy victory when they scored that early goal. Thankfully our guys were able to dig deep, re-set, and get the game back on our terms 25 seconds later.

  9. Here’s some perspective….. was the Eagles lowest score at home this year (none else under 40). Umpires gave them 25 free kicks to our 18, because Perth. Shocker I know. We are 9 - 0 this year, top of the ladder, 2 games and percentage clear of 3rd, and just cracked our highest win margin against WCE in Perth. Some of you on here still aren’t happy, or at least satisfied. Go talk to Kellie Underwood, because she’ll be right with you on having no concept of that perspective.

  12. Underwood's pre-game preparation . . . make sure I: mention the 2021 grand final (200 times), remember that Jackson is from WA, note that Brayshaw's brother is at Freeo, remind everyone that Jackson once played basketball, always refer to Ben Brown as Big Ben Brown, say that Jackson used to love Nic Nat, declare that May and Lever are good footballers, mention that Jackson used to support Meth Coke (10 times), observe that Kosi is a good footballer, suggest that Jackson will be keen to drive his price up today (five times).

  17. Some harsh views on what was a total pummelling. I don’t agree that it was ugly, or that we were in a second gear or whatever. There are no teams in the AFL that are bad at the game, just teams that can’t sustain a 4 quarter effort. West Coast had two quarters of solid effort that matched ours and still couldn’t make any inroads. We completely destroyed them in the two quarters where their effort dropped off. It would have been nice to convert better, but other than that I’m really not sure what else we need to do before people will be happy.

  19. Dominated in all areas and could’ve won by more with some better kicking. Eagles stacked the D50 to shut the game down and slowed things down, helped by some dumb F50 entries from us. That being said. I’ve never heard a commentary team so supportive of a side that got flogged by 12 goals. Amazing mental gymnastics to make this sound like a positive result for WCE and a real wake up call for us. I must’ve been watching a different game.

  20. i'll be very disappointed when we don't win by 74 points at perth stadium in future games that's our greatest ever winning margin over meth coke and their lowest ever score at home happy days

  21. Absolutely not misogyny - love Daisy Pearce's comments (and not just partisan because of her MFC connection). Underwood is just hard on the ear and her comments are inane at best. - hate Derwaynnne and BT who as far as I am aware are both male XY

  24. We need to get used to the idea that most teams will go out with the primary purpose of 'minimizing the damage' when they play us. It comes with the territory of being the best team in the competition. 'Messy' but great win Dees!

  28. Somehow it wasn’t pretty but we won by 74 points and go two games plus percentage clear inside the top two. Oh and 9-0 is the best start to a season by a reigning premier in the history of the modern AFL!!! Woohoo! The commentators are driving me nuts, the difference between our 74 point win away and Brisbane’s 75 point win at home is shameful. We are the best team in it by a loooong way, stop talking rubbish!

  30. I turned the commentary off at quarter time. Gives a much more balanced perspective, bizarrely so much of the AFL media are trying to construct negative views of us rather than acknowledge how remarkable what we are doing is. We are the first reigning premiership team in the modern AFL era (1990-, and probably well before but I can’t be arsed going back any further) to go 9-0, that’s incredible!! We’re 5 games + 40 points of percentage inside the top 8, 3 + 35 inside the top four and 2 + 20 inside the top 2. That’s all that matters, we’ll need to play better to win finals, fine, that’s ages away and by then we’ll have Salem back, and a host of VFL players pushing harder than ever for selection. Bring on the haters, we are the best!!

  35. Gawn - surprisingly didn’t dominate Viney - gutsy and dominant Petracca - impressive not outstanding Jordon - career best performance Brayshaw - continued stellar season Oliver - important but flawed Langdon - reliable as always Neal-Bullen - grunt and selfless McDonald - our best forward Pickett - quality and dangerous Jackson - played role effectively May - regularly took charge Fritsch - took his chances Sparrow - effective bit player Spargo - just some cameos Rivers - tight and steady Bowey - just so reliable Lever - comfortably restricted opponents Harmes - often lacked poise Hunt - continued his resurgence Petty - surprisingly average performance Brown - seemingly without conviction Chandler - left his mark

  37. Not me. I went and stood at our end each quarter. So watched all our forwards closely, particularly weed and rooey. I thought weed was excellent. His intensity was really good. Took a fantastic pack mark, rucked well in the front half, used the ball super well in general play and took his chances, including the late round the corner goal in tbe third, which was brilliant because the wind was howling in that quarter. Rooey played super well too, but he is neither fit enough, or big enough for the AFL. Thst said, roey is the real deal. Wants tbe ball, is super vocal and plays like a caged lion. Reminds me such of a young David Swartz. Will be scary good when he fills out.

  38. It seemed like the boys were a bit thrown by the crisp, accurate lettering on the banner (particularly the exclamation mark) and it took them until the last quarter to shake off their admiration and fully concentrate on football.

  39. Eagles played super defensively after our fast start, so a 70+ point win is a terrific result. Huge credit to our smalls in ANB, Kozzy and Spargo who were all superb. Hope Harmes' injury isn't too serious. Thank Barassi for our current depth.

  40. 74 points.....okay, could've been better.....Harmsey's hammy is a bummer, but all in all - the day could've been worse! (I can't remember the last time Melbourne supporters were dissatisfied with a 74 point win!) 🤣

  41. OMG Underwood just goes on and on about Jackson “coming home”! Like a dog with a bone. And she has only just tweaked that a 74 point margin maybe means something to Demons at Optus!

  44. Calm now, I am happy with the win and not taking anything for granted, but feel it is OK to complain about i50 connection and set shots. We are 9-0 159%. Loved Viney, Gus, and Pickett, ANB steady, we found out Bowey is made of rock. Hope Harmes is ok.

  46. For context. The 1995 Blues were 7-0 on top of the ladder with a healthy percentage of 166.5%. In Round 8 they came up against the Swans who were sitting 11th (out of 16) with 2 wins and 97.6%. The Swans won by 72 points (21 goals to 8). The next week the Blues came up against bottom placed St. Kilda on 1 win and 64.4%. The Saints won by 56 points (11 goals to 3). After those 2 losses the Blues dropped to 4th and their percentage dropped from 166 to 125. The next week they won by 102 points over the 8th placed Hawks and then won the next 15 games and on the way claiming the top spot at season’s end and ultimately the Premiership. From a Demon perspective we lost the last match of the season against the Bears who made the finals for the first time in their history and we missed out. They took our place in the 8. We were 2 points down at 3/4 time and the Bears kicked 4.8 to 2.1 in the last to claim victory and history by 21 points. They lost to Carlton by 13 points the next week and were bundled out of the finals.

  47. Unlicensed and unregistered means uninsured. The risk that poses to other people in the community when you don't have access to insurance to covers costs associated with potential damage (to either property or people) is just unacceptable. It is completely unfathomable that you could think this isn't a big deal for Majak or anyone.
