Mark Jamar with 7 clangers. FARK.

Bell 3 free kicks against ... all of them when he got run down because of his lack of awareness.

On a more positive note:

White with 11 contested possessions is a good sign.

Bruce ... 33 possies, 5 tackles, 6 contested possessions. Soft my clacker.....

also seems to me that 1%ers are low too!! these i would have thought are easy - shepherds, spoils, blocks, goal assists (not so easy), etc....

no sign of the inside 50's there but no need to see the stats for me to know that they were shyte!!

thought that our ruckman were competitive for the first time in a while - both in the centre and around the grounds...

why not give daniel bell a run up the ground on a wing? and spare with lynden dunn being a backman!!

also, warnock not to play in the red and blue again...

Zero impact.

Bruce, Aussie, Jones and maybe Green were the only players who I think would scored pass marks on the day. Get over yourself YM and for once gain some respect by admitting that Cam Bruce is one of the few players at the club doing his job.

Apparantly we set records for the most touches in our own defensive 50, and had a few guys get more than 10 touches in just the back 50.

That to me is the most worrying of all the stats.

At times he seems like the only one not to have lost his confidence.

Not sure how effective having the ruckman deep behind the ball is either. White may have ended up with 23 touches, but its where he gets them that counts.

10 man defense does not make a Premiership.

Nathan Jones - 21 touches and 4 goals.

I've said it before and I'll say it again : Jones > Pendulbury

I love Jonesy but FFS I hope someone gives him a football and a friend (Preferably Clint Bartram) over the summer and gets them to play kick to kick for 8 hours a day.

The kid could be anything if only he cleaned his disposal up!

I was amazed he got it through the big sticks 4 times.

Great effort, and perhaps his kicking is improving

This could well be attributed to a lack of talk out on the field as well, defenders should back themselves to run the ball out of defence as Belly is doing, his teammates should be letting him no if he's in danger of getting tackled.

The problem is lack of confidence usually results in little to no talk out on the field.

How very wrong you are.

I despise Collingwood and think Pendles is overrated but even then I'd take him over Jones

Jones is a better player than Pendles. Pendles just gets all the media hype.

Pendles is

- taller

- quicker in leg speed and mind

- better kick and handball

- better at dishing out in traffic

Jones is

- harder at it

Bit like comparing apples and oranges cos they're different styles but I would take Pendlebury

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
