This is so typical, bungling organisation, some [censored] who was in charge of the playing kit got it wrong and brought the away shorts.

We have turned into a laughing stock, so unprofessional!!

I can't watch any more of this rubbish!

But also I'm glad they are putting miles into the youngsters so they can gain experience. But please is there any danger of getting some decent help next year from people who are employed to supply it?

Can anyone imagine Collingwood bringing the wrong shorts? The answer is NO.

This club has simply got to tighten up on everything it does from top to bottom. I know it has very little money, but it has got to act like a big club.

Who was the person who had to go and tell the Lions that Melbourne had brought the wrong shorts, what a rotten task that would have been! I only hope it was the idiot who was responsible

So much for preparation for the game< MORONS!!

Does the club's annual review also include the position of property steward?

FFS we're supposed to be a $20 million organisation. Can't they get the colour of the shorts right?

What an absolute joke!

The original Property Steward may have been promoted one rank with the departure of Danners. The old Gum Boy and Drink Bottle Filler would thus be in charge of the daks.

It is unfortunately quite staggeringly unprofessional.

I know that it was just a simple human mistake, but you would think that the kits would be at least double checked before they leave  ?

Anyway apropos.......

Brown on fire in Lions rout

"..........It was technically a home game for the Demons, marking the seventh straight year Melbourne has hosted Brisbane at the Gabba.

However, Brisbane avoided wearing their much maligned white away strip thanks to a simple gaffe by the Demons.

Melbourne inexplicably brought their white away shorts, ensuring a colour clash that officials deemed could only be avoided if the Lions wore their home guernsey – much to the relief of the Brisbane faithful.

Early on, it seemed Melbourne also brought a white flag as Brown goaled almost at will in the opening stanza......."

How this club thinks it can earn the respect from opposition clubs has got me beat . Stand up & take note they will, but for all the wrong reasons.

Inspiring stuff for we members and sponsors alike

Someone should change the title of this thread to Wallace & Grommits "The Wrong Trousers".

Luckily for Wallace, he has a dog to mind over his numbing stupidity. This club doesn't have anything that comes close.

Inexplicable? Could be something about having to get on an aeroplane and fly a few hours to our 'home ground'.

Honestly, it's fine to rant about the MFC but this is reading too much into what's a reasonably simple mistake.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
