:o

I knew you'd use it against me!

No, a broken toe, a hairline foot fracture and a twisted ankle.

But never mind that, I'll be there to cheer on the Juice!

I've fulfilled one part of my bargain - have reserved my seat for tomorrow night. I'll be there to cheer on Juice for his debut.

My $200 will be getting ready as soon as he walks on the field.

Thanks to a very generous pledge from RobbieF of Demonology - our Newton fund has reached $1,300+

This will, if Newton does in fact take the field, even without kicking a goal the fund will have reached $8,000 of the $12,384 we require to become full members...

This is a fantastic effort.

Again - those who have pledged please email [email protected] to be sent the 150 Club form.

I'll send off the cash the second that I get home from the game.

And that's a great effort to reach that amount!

It was "DEMON WITHIN" who called in and told SEN about the demonland 'pay so he can play'...

iv neva been so excited about a debut

i think its a bit like buying raffle tickets at your local cricket club, when the prize is a $20 meal voucher. the money is going to a good cause (the club) and no one really expects that their money will have any effect on selection (sorta like no one cares bout the raffle).

I realise that the money means nothing.

It's just the principle of it all.

its just a new way to raise money for the club, if you don't agree with it, no probs but we are having some fun with it in a otherwise fun less season. If it bothers you so much just don't read this thread.

The timing of this is pretty good Jaded. Plenty of media crew are checking this site out this week, to see the reaction to ND post Richmond game.

Hey Hards, don't you have some pals down at SEN?

Yeah a mate works down there, on the weekends. I'll give him a call this arvo and see if he can get one of the hosts to plug it

Obviously we're still waiting for the man to take his place on the field, but for all those who've pledged, still waiting for a few to email me so I can forward the 150 Club form which will need to be filled in.

[email protected] - or, you can send me your email address via PM

And he kicked 1.

Thank god for that!

Will be mailing my donation in as soon as I can walk to the mailbox

Have we got a final tally of how much was raised?

I actually went a bit nuts when he kicked that goal, jumped up and landed right on my fractured foot

I forgot I'm disabled for a minute, and spent the rest of the match regretting it.

Thankfully that was his only goal for the night, or I would have ended up back in hospital.

i did that in 2000 v carlton in the final, i had dont my knee months earlier and it was still tender but i forgot and jumped up and yep it hurt like hell.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
