Two Harrys, then?

And 'harry': 'Persistently carry out attacks (on an enemy or an enemy's territory)'

That'll do me.

That's what I thought. Why the heck would he have got a 3 year contract?

It might’ve been a 2 year deal with a trigger that he reached in year 1, but yep, welcome to Melbourne list management. Everyone gets at least a year they don’t deserve

We all thought it was 2 years, but the list management pinned thread (which is fantastic) has a bit of chatter that it was three years due to a trigger of some sort.

Either way, he is off the list which is a great result.

His VFL highlights has some really nice kicks on both sides but it’s not a strength from what I’ve seen of him at afl level. Not a lot of power in his game, great endurance but not the fastest.

He’d be wing/high half forward depth and good players who excel defensively in those roles aren’t easy to find. I suggested Ned McHenry because that’s how hard it is to find super hard runners with any talent at all.

Nibbler wasn’t Nibbler for a very long time in his career either remember.

Contracted, you’d want Brisbane to do the right thing and let him go for a bag of chips.

I wonder if this means Windsor moves to half back and mid rotation. Very interesting move.

Hunter signed a 5 year contract prior to the 2019 season with the Dogs to take him through to the end of 2023.

Therefore we either extended his contract by 2 further years when he came across to us at the end of 2022 or his solid 2023 season set off a trigger.

As for Sharp, his PB at AFL level is an 18 possession 1 goal game against the Suns earlier this year and he also had a 19 possession 3 goal game in one of the VFL finals just gone.

He’ll be right at home. Bring him in, fellas!

Because both Sharp and Derksen are contracted we may have to pay overs for them maybe 37 for Sharp and 45 for Derksen.

Windsor will never play half back.
Will go straight into the centre to direct our connectivity to our forward line.
Sharp Bowey could play wing even Pup Brown possibly though I think  he could end up as an on baller or half forward.

Don't mind this.

One of the fittest players going around in the competition and one thing he does bring is quick ball movement and speed.

He's actually a bit like Ed Langdon in that he'll hit a target 30m up the field and then follow up again with a hand pass and reset again.

He's contracted though, I hope Brisbane aren't similar to Dersken.

I also like this because he's still only 21 so there's lot of growth and improvement left unlike the past recruits who've had of recent.

Still plenty and growth and development left, and knows, could have a Toby Bedford breakout season hopefully.

Do you think he'd be a decent replacement for ANB? We're going to miss his gutrunning and goal-sense.

Yes I do. He's a genuine gut runner.

This to me is a smart potential trade. On the cusp of their best 22 but held out through their depth of midfield. Vic boy. Strong runner. Wont cost the earth and at 21 potential upside in development and potentially fills holes in list left by ANB and Hunter.

And sounding like Lions open to it. Suppose Ashcroft and others in and Coleman and McCarthy back helps.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti
