Couldn't see a thread up already.

Can we still get in with a 16 game membership given the expected crowd? Or do we have to buy a seat?

Anyone know more than me (which is highly likely)?

TIA

Apparently it’s almost sold out Moonie, according to the club. I’ve tried to upgrade tickets and only sections on Level 4 available.

Usually the club sends us an email about this game.

This is what Ticketek is showing

It's a tigers home game and with the way their season has been I would not have expected a big crowd. However it appears I am wrong. Looks like TV for me.

The club sent out an email right on the eve of the season with a window to buy tickets(booking fee) with your barcodes for both the Tigers and Pies game.

Yep… they did back in Feb, thanks. Fell asleep on that one.

Putting it mildly, Richmond isn’t the easiest club to work with when it comes to their home games at the ‘G. While it currently says tickets for all areas bar the nosebleeds are exhausted, this isn’t necessarily so. At this point in time, even the MFC isn’t sure of what the RFC is doing re ticketing.

Thanks WCW, club sent another email an hour ago about upgrading again. Ticketek still showing exhausted for most of the allocations as per the screenshot above.  A bit of joke they would do that when the game is nowhere nearly sold out.

Next Tuesday's weather is very pleasant. Let's hope it is the same for Wednesday.

I wonder how many reserved seat holders Richmond has. Suspect there will be a fair few empty.

Perhaps a visit to the Tigers forum might unleash a few for those who are willing  (Quiet barrackers only of course)

That screenshot is correct though.
Level 1 is sold out and has been for a month. Now obviously Richmond reserved areas on level 1 are M50-M57, M1,M2 and M10-M16 but the other areas on level 1 are sold out.

level 2 and 2a are all reserved seat areas for Richmond so technically none are available.

Level 4 front, rows A-J (Q49-Q57) (Q8-Q15) is all sold out and has been for the last couple weeks. They have sold all of Q49-Q52 to the back and Q13-Q15 as well. Expecting Q53-Q57 to be all gone by the end of the week.

Ponsford level 4 is being sold up to U in all bays and that will likely be all they sell there.

the GA areas for Melbourne club members who have away access and all Richmond members are going to be something like:

Olympic stand: None

Ponsford: Q31-Q36 rows V-MM

Shane Warne: Q1-Q7 all rows, Q8-Q12 rows K-DD.

MCC sales on level 4 aren’t great this year. Up to Row DD in Q46-Q48, row AA for Q41-Q45 and row R Q37-Q40

AFL on par with last year and they ended up opening the last 10 rows of all bays to general admission, so would be expecting that again.

Strikes me as a very low 70s crowd.

The same email says:

"Home and Away members can scan their membership card or mobile membership to gain general admission access on match day."

Does this mean they're projecting a low crowd, therefore just swiping in for GA isn't an issue?

I want to take my kids to their first Anzac Eve game, but don't want to muck around with the process of getting tickets if it's going to be a bun fight.

That cannot be. I bought 5 tickets to Q53 last night Row V. The only L4 Bay on the Olympic stand sold out was Q49 and Q50 i think. Everything from Q53 - Q57 still had at least 60-70% availability as far as i could see.

$45 GA is bordering on ridiculous i have to say. i remember the old days where a GA ticket was $20.

Nope, Q51 was sold out Monday night, Q52 was all gone by 11pm last night. I have an addiction problem and I check this every couple hours.

They do ramp up in the week of the game. For context, you bought row V in Q53 last night and they are now up to row FF.

GA tickets are still $27, but reserving a level 4 seat is not GA.

I'm just gonna try and scan in my 16 game membership and walk around until I can find a seat.

Might even sneak into lev 2 where I sit for home games, unfortunately this time surrounded by rabid tiger fans.

Perhaps I'll get BBO to find a seat for me, his outfit usually clears the nearby area within 20 mins

Anzac is eve is great when it's a home game ... but not so much when it's away.

I'll be watching it on the radio.

I'd send you my ticket Moonie but .... as you have no friends to take with you ... it would be wasted.

I put my barcode into Ticketmaster and it’s not being recognised. Not sure it matters anyway does it?

The tickets left for this game stink from what I saw. I was hoping my membership might unlock something better, but that’s just magical thinking isn’t it?

Ive dropped the ball in getting good seats.

My plan is to get a GA and go up the top of the Ponsford and stand (behind the wheelchair area). Its a good spot.

It’s the spot used on First Crack. Addicted to structure much? 😀

Don't you remember the ABC slogan. " Watch it on the radio" ?

Only those with away access memberships can upgrade to reserve seats, home memberships don't work.. Surprised the club email says Home & Away Members can scan in... I probably would have done that but have level 4 MCC seats for this one, not cheap.

My totally uneducated and not researched take is that no matter whose home game it is or how the teams are performing or where they are on the ladder, the Anzac Eve  game nowadays will tend to draw a big crowd.

Shades of the Anzac Day game if that makes sense. A annual pilgrimage.   Putting aside club shenanigans with ticket availability and associated highway robbery costs, I sort of like that it is becoming a big game year in, year out. Makes for a great atmosphere etc. GO DEES!

Ok, thanks. I should have got my [censored] together in February when I got the email.

I might follow others advice and rock up for a GA ticket, and stand.

They say you can scan in with H & A membership on the night DAG, but it doesn’t say on the ticketek map where GA is allocated.

KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.
