Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

plantarus muscle

Wasn’t aware that he had been diagnosed with plantaris tear, but it doesn’t cause foot pain, nor (after being treated or removed) should it affect strength-power function in push-off for running or jumping, other than relating to pain. If he had persistent soleus-gastroc issues, then that would explain it better. Plantaris is undoubtedly a niggle muscle, but not much more other than acutely.

Maybe I wasn’t listening properly to my Physio when I told me what I had. Jake just gave me flashbacks the way he reacted. I constantly played with this desire to take my boots off it was so painful in the muscle underneath my foot leading to my heal.

Sorry for the diversion everyone - I just want Webber to diagnose my issues. 😩

You had plantar fasciitis, rpfc. It’s a nasty sucker. Better now?

I swear my Physio said it wasn’t superficial? And couldn’t be that? But idk.

To answer your question, yes, but it effed with my brain and spent a year weirdly not pushing off properly and landing from jumping like an 80 year old.

It isn’t, it’s an inflammatory irritation of the bone to fascial (connective tissue) attachment.

Sucked in on day 1 of trade radio and heard the genius Brenton Sanderson give his take on how Grundy gets to us and Jackson to Freo.

Pick 13 from Freo to Melbourne for Jackson

Ontrade pick 13 to Collingwood for Grundy.

And… he suggested pies may need something more from us, like second rounder or a player eg: Weids!!!

to cap off his work, he says he can’t see how Grundy improves Melbourne.

Surprised he didn't suggest we'd chuck in Trac as a sweetener

There is a new Jay Clark article suggesting there is a 3rd club that will assist Jackson getting to Freo. Cannot access.

Port Adelaide looms as the key to helping Fremantle unlock the first-round pick swap which can secure the trade for Luke Jackson.

Fremantle currently has pick 14 and is talking to clubs higher in the draft order in order to nab a pick inside the top 10 to pass on to the Demons for Jackson.

Melbourne wants two first-round picks for Jackson, including at least one selection inside in the top 10, from Fremantle.

The Power is open to shuffling back several spots in the first round of the draft, which could see the club swap its pick 8 for Fremantle’s pick 14.

Port Adelaide would receive at least one second-round pick from Fremantle as extra incentive to move six spots backwards in the first round.

The deal would mean the Dockers are armed with a prized top-10 selection to give to Melbourne to seal the deal for Jackson.

But Port Adelaide is holding the upper hand in the negotiations as the club is happy to hold on to pick 8, and the Power won’t do the deal unless it benefits them.

Bulldogs possibly through Freo trades and if Tommo ends up going to Dogs that is tied in to possible deals.

Sorry there was info around about the Bulldogs being involved and thought it was what Jay Clark would be mentioning.

BTW  I hope Port aren't doing this to try and sweeten us about Kossie to go to them. Never know do we!!

Port with their first pick.

Apparently Lobb for  WB2nd: 29 (?) or so, Logue goes for NM2nd: 19 (?) - I'm guessing Port want pick 19.

So we get pick 8 and a Future 1st? Give us 29 too please!

Given a number of trades involves North / Brisbane and its unclear if their coaches will remain the trade situation will be interesting.  Eg Does Logue still want to go to North?

Would people want us to package up what we get to try and get higher up the order (Pick 1 is tradeable) or more just go scatter gun approach with 2 first round picks?

Grab pick 1 for Cadman should the club rate him accordingly

I still think we'll get shafted.

If the reports are true that wce aren't really in the conversation, then I think the best we'll get is Pick 8 and a F2 and some change.

If pick 8 wasn't involved then I think we'd get 13 and a F1 with 32 going back.

Either way Melbourne and Fremantle have been in discussions for a very long time. I think both clubs are aware of what the final deal will be already.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
