Settle down Kev! Not having a dig at you at all! You are right it was self deprecating humour suggesting that any club who would have me is not worth belonging to. Sorry if u didnt get that.  I wouldn’t advise that. I read the post to which you refer and it only reinforces what’s happening here. rpfc said he’s the one who tells newbies to sit down. I love rpfc’s posts (didn’t know he was a mod until now) but I’ve left other fan forums (for bands etc.) because of the way mods or long-termers regard “newbies” with a lack of respect. Call me old-fashioned but telling a man to sit down, in the implied context, is emasculating.

Yes, no doubt my personal bias and pain points are on show in this thread in my response to a poster who passionately defends the rights of others to irrationally and prematurely slag off the club, even when we're 9-1, with an inconsistently applied free speech argument.
