Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

The blood red snow seems to be a good fit. A bit of advance marketing to get the project ticked off?

Trouble is there is nothing new in this.  It was what Pert said at the AGM......, it was what was said last year at the AGM,..... and some variant from the Boards for the past 30 years.

Yes there is, very recently people on here and the Eddie Mcs of the world have been talking about Docklands or Port Melb or Yarra Bend or Elsternwick etc. this is saying something is happening close to the G. Relax and give it time.

I appreciate your thoughts cards and talk of areas other than near the G is a waste of energy the board is locked onto the  G area. However after being homeless for the better part of half a century my patience is almost exhausted. I just want the FD to have first rate training facilities and bloody soon. End of story.

Any chance to convince Tennis Australia and State Government that worlds tennis elite need an elite training facility, pools, gym, altitude room, whatever else needed for the world’s greatest athletes. It could be fitted into the covered practice courts to the east of Rod Laver. Tennis guys have it in December and January and we take over the rest of the year. And we request to train on our own club ground once a week. OK tell me I am dreaming.

Depends on the cost but surely we'd be looking at options to finance a development without State or Federal funding. It's tough out there, so I'm sure we'll be strategic about it.

I just wanted to know if there are any new updates on the Melbourne Football Club's new training facility combined with the administration and a social club?

I originally liked the Jolimont Station idea of having an new oval and headquarters built there. But it seems that the local community around East Melbourne sadly don't want it there.

Nevertheless, I think Gosch's Paddock will be fine with an overhaul of Richmond Train Station as well as a training base, administration and social club for the Melbourne Football Club. The issue will be having enough space for everything we need.

This plan for the new Melbourne Football Club headquarters will certainly cost a lot of money....but it would be a big project that would reinvigorate the sporting precinct and create a lots of jobs during the current economic climate.

Anyway, I am looking forward to hearing more news soon.

Casey has all the features of the Waverley project of the AFL. It is in the expanding population zone and does have potential for expansion.

while the MCG area is our traditional home it has too many limitations.

Thats why I would like to see some more advanced commentary on Port Melbourne. A mix of private property which may now be more economically available and open space which can be incorporated. An opportunity to invest less with the promise of stimulation.

That is a very practical and sensible answer. The Filth just didn't want to part with the refurbishment costs in the past. Now it is time for Eddie to pay the Tillerman. While he is at it, he can duck foff.

It was interesting listening to the players comments at the Casey training sessions in the past couple of days.  To paraphrase " good to be at Casey because it is close in size to the MCG, so we can practice using the space"  ( unlike Gosch's).

In the past 7 days I've listened to podcasts where Scott Watters and Brendan Goddard have both spoken about the disaster that was Seaford. They both mentioned how moving away from the club's heartland was foolhardy and how the players hated driving that extra distance to work every day.

We won't move to Casey on a full time basis.

Hard to believe anything both of those have to say.  Moorabbin to Seaford....really.   Didn't seem to worry Hawthorn who moved from Glenferrie to Waverley and are now heading to Dingley.

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh

It didn't last long, ended up a reasonable session weather wise.  Light duties, BBB, rehab Farris-White, Melky, Salem and Spargo, all with private trainers. They are all playing soccer, huge amount of noise. 36-40 (difficult to get a count) in the main squad, biggest I've seen it in ages. Choco is barking out the orders. ICEBREAKER by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have broken the ice for season 2024 with a pulsating come-from-behind victory over Port Melbourne in which it took the lead for the first time at the halfway mark of the final quarter. The game played in mild Autumn conditions in neutral territory at Kinetic Park, Frankston, never reached great heights in standard but it proved gripping in character at the end at the Casey Demons overcame the Borough to win by 15 points after trailing badly early in the second half.  P
