I like to think that Bennell's leg problems are entirely the fault of being contracted to two basket-case clubs. I suspect that's not actually the case, but thinking that gives me optimism that with proper care, he can be made into a successful player for us.

Bennell, despite the injuries and related layoffs, has shown the MFC something special in his training and debutant presence as a Demon. His first year was an unmitigated disaster and he knows it, I get the sense he's a very proud person and wants to prove himself to be every bit the big recruit we expect him to be. I'm not sure if him being at the club got us over the line with Harley but having him and Langdon can't have hurt.

They said on the Demonland podcast tonight that the operation Harley undertook means he cant run for 9 weeks which is coming up shortly. Being conservative as Burgess is, that means we should start to see HB start to move around the track a little faster from now on. IMV Midyear or 8-9 weeks still a possibility. But it may take that long just to move out of rehab.
