Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

No doubt he was better last year. One of our few improvers imo.

Need a huge preseason to build his tank so he doesnt completely fade out of games in the second half like he did all 2019.

I know the story is just more off-season fluff and i have always considered Trac over-rated, but if he could play out games and impact for FULL games like he did in several first halves this year,  he mighty actually become an A grade player instead of B-With-Promise he currently is.

The next step to Hawthorn...?

Weren’t we trading him?

Rubbish aside, I really hope he does take the next step. If he trims down and builds his tank he could be anything.

That, along side the Goodwin sacked, announcement on Sunday, only for the club to announce the signing of Richardson on Friday, have made for a good laugh. (Also the reason I finally decided to make an account after years of visiting the site occasionally).

What was the ultimatum Binman?

He's joking. Making fun of some peoples comments from a few weeks ago. They kept saying they had on good authority that he gave the club an ultimatum after a meeting between him, his management, and the FD. As far as I'm aware, from the meeting, both parties came out with a mutual understanding of what they want for next season.

This quote caught my attention:

“This year will be the first year I haven’t had surgery in a while, and I’ll be having a full pre-season so I’m very excited for that,” he said.

There are a number of players in the same boat at the club.

This is also an interesting quote:

“It’s good to get a little break first, have a few weeks off to mentally refresh and get away from the club, but then from there just go bang with all eyes on next year.”

The break between the end of the home and away season and preseason training will help more than a few players i reckon.

Oh thanks, I haven’t been around for a bit.

Yes, sorry about that. My tendency toward facetiousness got the better of me. Again.

There were any number of posts in the last few months trying to paint a picture of a dysfunctional club in total crisis.

Any scrap of information was used to help paint this picture, for example trac (and even his parents) allegedly being very, very unhappy,  giving the club an ultimatum and being a very good chance of asking for a trade. There were other such examples as AshleyH30 touches on in a post above.

You didn't miss much.

Welcome back.

Oh and the club does not appear to be in crisis. Much to the chagrin of some.

I heard the ultimatum too......not good & involved his manager too.

Disposal efficiency at 69%, 4.5 average turnovers per game & 49% scoring efficiency.......

Needs to be better if he wants to be remembered as a  'Hall of Famer' (his words not mine) but good to see some consistency in 2019.

The best puff piece of the lot so far imv.  There were some rumblings about so all's well that ends well.  Kudos to the club if so and they calmed the waters.

Plenty of work ahead for Burgess, Club & Tracc.  I still rate him as being A grade material but will need to take a big leap in 2020 obviously.

There were glimpses of A grade form in patches during 2019 but these were tampered by some terrible team performances overall, which would have impacted and will hopefully be significantly rectified in 2020.

Could be a bit of a bell weather for the team overall imv in 2020.

A big start to 2020 for club and player, get him locked and out of the Pies clutches by mid season hopefully.

Regardless of the weight behind them (no, that isn't a "Trac is too fat" reference), the rumblings around him leaving/wanting to leave are...unsettling. Interviews like this suggest he's not going anywhere. At least not next season.

Hopefully his trajectory continues on the same path. At 23 his potential is still huge.

An interesting quote in terms of being the philosophical ethos of the great Melbourne odd/even year Curse. I mean thank god the pies beat us in round 23 2017 and blessed us with a month off and the subsequent bangin' 2018 finals.

In all seriousness though, absolutely zero to be read into puff pieces like these. Just glad he's sticking around, as he's one of our best players to watch and despite what some have said, is one of our elite-trending players that has continued to improve year on year.

Spot on

Too good to be just a first half tease!

Needs a big tank for endurance and a revamped goal kicking procedure from 40 m out plus

Over to you Mr Burgess and Trac.

Result 25/30 possessions per game and 50 goals per year.

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh

It didn't last long, ended up a reasonable session weather wise.  Light duties, BBB, rehab Farris-White, Melky, Salem and Spargo, all with private trainers. They are all playing soccer, huge amount of noise. 36-40 (difficult to get a count) in the main squad, biggest I've seen it in ages. Choco is barking out the orders. Goody has intense body language as he observes. Bowey in a lime green cap (no contact), and in the sim
