Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Yep. He is dead right. I don’t like Josè at all. But he is spot on with this one.

To get bigger we have to expect to be big, amongst other things. I know many are not in favour of Pert, but he knows how to run big organizations

Melbourne. Fastest growing City in Australia, we have to use that....

He may be dead right but in our case the horse bolted five decades ago. Sadly we are the club he warns about and thoroughly entrenched in mediocrity.

I still think we can extricate ourselves from mediocrity, but it will take a huge effort and serious time, Years like 2019 can kill so much previous work though, that I agree

The only solace about supporting an unsuccessful club is I can’t turn up to the G at 2:10 and get a cracking seat.

I get upset if I don't get a whole section of stand to myself these days.

Listening to Cotchin say that it’s not about lifting the cup up for the 2nd time it’s about creating a culture that will continue long after his gone.

Thats leadership!

Im sure he actually meant  after he's gone. His kinda dumb though so it wouldn't surprise me.

Mr Leader Cotchin is lucky that the AFL have the odd views that they do. Mr Leader Cotchin got himself rubbed out for their last flag, now that's leadership ... oh what's that? He got to play in it? How about that.

What he should be wishing for is that he gets to lift the cup for the first time.

(PS I'm not having a shot at you, D1. I'm having a shot at the AFL.)

Chelsea only became a big club when Roman Abramovich decided to park his oil wealth in SW6 and will stop being one when he finds a new favourite toy.

sadly that is the EPL these days .... hard to get off the merry go round.

Bit like the AFL and the gambling coys but many times worse

Yes and no. Leicester showed what's possible with great man management, confidence, and passion.

Atletico Madrid are another that punch well above their weight in Spain.

But point taken its difficult to consistently beat Man City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Man U etc in the Premier League with inflated budgets, and access to the best of everything.

I think there's something to be said about Langer's attitude during the last Ashes test. He wasn't a happy camper at all when we lost that match to end up 2-2, despite retaining the urn.

I loved that, and would love to see more of that hard edge in Goodwin when it comes to 'honourable losses'.

Our culture has been soft and haven't learnt to be tougher and angry when being beaten by a big margins or a small  one.

Going to the game and being beaten by 10 goals and applauding our team off for trying doesn't go well for building a winning culture however hard you try. Players get the sense of security that at least they are having a go. That is B SHIYT.............

Mourinho has a point and l agree many others would to.  We once upon a time  was a big club and to be one again the club needs to be ruthless and that is the nature of the sport.

Yep, and when the club sent out the email to supporters about the coming forum the letter from the Prez & CEO stated we wanted to be up there and challenging for a Premiership consistently.

Only words but they should really have committed to winning the thing not just challenging...

What kind of ridiculous brain fade made them bowl first in the Final Test. That pitch was fine. Game over straight away

Paine should step down after that

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you his observations from this morning's Captain's Run including some hints at the changes for our ANZAC Eve clash against the Tigers. Sunny, though a touch windy, this morning, 23 of them no emergencies.  Forwards out first. Harrison Petty, JvR, Jack Billings, Kade Chandler, Kozzy, Bayley Fritsch, and coach Stafford.  The backs join them, Steven May, Jake Lever, Woey, Judd McVee, Blake Howes, Tom McDonald

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh

They are out for a run just as it starts raining. It didn't last long, ended up a reasonable session weather wise.  Light duties, BBB, rehab Farris-White, Melky, Salem and Spargo, all with private trainers. They are all playing soccer, huge amount of noise. 36-40 (difficult to get a count) in the main squad, biggest I've seen it in ages. Choco is barking out the orders. Goody has intense body language as he observes. Bowey in a lime green cap (no contact), and in the sim
