Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

The complete apathy I have for this club is near equivalent to that of the Neeld years.

I’m feeling so lost and low right now.

Even with all of the injuries we have, there is something stinking so badly at this club.

Missed the game. Just checked the final scores. This is my guess how we played.

Had more inside 50’s.

Gave away easy gimmie goals.

Gawn dominated but midfield pantsed.

Missed easy set shots.

Captains played like spuds.

Consistently turned the ball over.

mindless bombing into forward line.

Am I wrong with my guesses?

Yep - I agree. Something seriously wrong.

I have said that all year and certain people on here have attacked me for it.

Something has seriously stunk since Preliminary Final Day last year, something apart from what we have been told.

Board Level, Club Level, Football Dept. could be any of those 3....

My favourite part was when the players just decided to start trying to take hangers at the end (Harmes especially). I guess they have busted their guts up to this point so they were due a little bit of fun.

Liked the Lever acquisition but he has zero ability to compete in a one on one. Nathan Jones has been a great servant but he is no longer AFL standard and he has gotten very lazy. Time to move on. The kicking for goal I have no words for. Viney maybe just isn't a good league footballer. The overall ability to compete in the air is an embarrassment to everyone linked to the club.

Ive never seen so many players that disinterested in playing a game of footy in my life. Period. Not that I can blame them, Goodwin looks as if he hasnt had a clue since the qualifying final last year...

But they do. The question is where and why has it disappeared.

That kids bleeds red and blue. What has happened to this group?

It certainly looks like the coach has lost them, or vice versa.

Either way it will be another ugly and depressing (for us all here) year in 2020 unless there are massive changes in staff, in game plan (assuming we have actually had one) and in passion and dedication.

Petraccas looking disgruntled when on the phone to the coaches said it all. They have lost the players.

Has any team ever wasted inside 50s as much as MFC?

Tonight 53 point, 9 goal loss, with ten (10) more I 50s.

How bad is our structure?    Goody, please answer.

Lucky we spent two trade periods turfing out our entire forward line while recruiting overpaid key defenders that cost us a fortune in draft currency and can't even get on the park. Sheer brilliance from the geniuses in list management.

The commentators are still running the company line of excuses for the MFC? Why??? Why won't anyone just call this club out for what it is? I guess it's because we are a nice play thing for other clubs in the competition, and you wouldn't want to disrupt that. If you're struggling and want an opponent that you can beat on pure effort, circle the Demons on the fixture. It's a nice fallback for other clubs.

Agree.   Goodwin (should be renamed Badloss) talks of loss of connection between mids and forwards - he has yet to admit total loss of connection between the club and those who prop it up, us supporters.

Not with Jones and Viney there.

Look at Cripps, bottom of ladder for years and always punches through in games regardless on how the team is going. Viney and Jones just go to [censored] when the teams down

Another thing that killed us is the extended goal square kick in rule. The number of times Sydney got it past the wing was staggering, on the other hand we can't seem to get it beyond 60m. This club is looking like it's on death row, next year is make or break and I have zero faith in this group of leaderless half-wits.

Harmes tries to break a tackle in the last, gets pinged and 3 Sydney blokes fall on top of him letting him know all about it and not a single teammate steps in. Yeah, Harmes stuffed up but someone step the hell in and help.

Sydney had a pack mentality tonight, don’t even know what to say about us anymore.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
