I am surprised that he remembers, most men have no idea until reminded by their partner.

He remembers our anniversary and pretends to care when we play (it's the best dating someone who has no AFL club affiliation I've discovered). He's an absolute keeper!

So I absolutely smashed this work day. Tried to keep busy and distract myself.
Gonna sneak out at 4:45.... god damn I'm so nervous!

Ive been too anxious to read about footy all week and now that im about to head into the game have only just opened demonland. Need alchohol.

Good luck Demonlanders, and enjoy the game!  I'll be back to join you in the post-match euphoria.

Come on already!

This day is taking forever.

Btw, I love youse all.

How's the roar going to be when the boys run onto the ground?

Hopefully only topped by the singing of It's A Grand Old Flag after the game.

If we win I'll cry. If we lose I'll cry.

Is there a word that covers nervous, excited, hopeful and worried?

Cannot wait for the bounce.

Yep, agreed. Been in the queue to MCC for the past two hours!

should be lingerie footy as the curtain raiser would be a great nerve rester

Sounds like you will wear it anyway. We will win just to make sure of it.

Not sure about everyone else, but I'm really relaxed about this. No idea how I will be feeling between 7.50 and 10.30.

I too have an unnerving sense of calm about me,  it's a ridiculous and foreign  feeling considering how long we've waited to play finals.

But I'm very bullish on a win tonight!

Screw this I'm off. Work is Monday's problem now.

GAME ON!!!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
