Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Perhaps somewhat over the top, but I said preseason to my family that he would make All Australian if he were to be given a decent and consistent run of games. We should never have dropped him, but glad to see him in the team come finals.

love him

Been a big fan of Frosty since he joined us, I’m not too fussed about others only now getting on board, I’m just glad the cat is out of the bag now!

Someone said earlier that he’s probably the most pure athlete in the game right now, I agree, teams must really be scratching their heads looking at our list over the next few years.

Always a fan of his athleticism, but even though I never bagged him here, I wasn't impressed by his decision making or foot skills. Other then his mistake of leaving Hawkins 30mtrs on his own last time we played the cats, he seems to have improved both immensely.

Great work to the coaching staff, in either working and improving those deficiencies, or in keeping him at Casey to build his confidence up if that's all it was? The last two games, against good opposition, he's looked good for the whole game, not just a few mins of it. ??

The sweetest thing about Frosty is that we traded him from the Giants!

Our backline next year will be OMac, Lever, Hibberd, Frost, Lewis, Jetta and Salem, Wagner floating back, we’re gonna be a gun side for 3-4 years

I think we will be doing well to get more than 2 out of Lewis, but hopefully by that time, his work imparting knowledge and confidence is done.

It might be the one plus about Lever going down. It’s hard to tell if Frost would have gotten the chance but he took it on with both hands and has clearly improved. Much more than the giraffe that escaped from the zoo.

Ancient history.  Time to move forward, only change what can be changed, and enjoy the finals.

I’m going to persist in reminding all the Frost knockers how bloody stupid they were and how little they really understand the development of a tall afl player because they were relentless in their bagging of him.

There are also some fools who have been relentless in their posting that Jordan Lewis should never play again.  Boy has Jordan made them look stupid!

They must all be embarrassed by their poor judgement.

Then I'm a genius and a fool.

As for Jordie.  I am crossing my fingers and toes in every minute in finals, on the big expanses of the MCG, against the best teams/coaches in the AFL.

Go Frosty!

Funny what happens when given the chance. Have always been a fan. Reminds me a bit of glass from the eagles. He wasn’t too bad!

Frosty Isn't playing any different he broke the lines and ran hard tackled well and still makes his mistakes just like anyone who plays the game they do make mistakes. However tha'ts ok as long as he takes the game on and l rate him highly. Goody got it wrong when Frosty wasn't given the first option and was not given the second option either as he was certainly out of favour. Big bodied players have an advantage if they know how to use it. It took the loss to St kilda to realise that we needed a big body with elite pace to come in that could break the lines . Cost us dearly the most vital 4 points. We will move on and learn from it.

Harmesy, Gus and Frosty.  Wow, that's some huge improvement in critical areas of our team, all in the space of a couple of months.  No wonder we are hitting September with momentum.  The sort of stuff that dreams are made of!

Make no mistake, we would be 2nd on the ladder if Sam Frost had been picked when he should have.

Too bloody right! Frost was the man who should have been down back - Paul Roos saw it and that is good enough for me. It was an absolute disgrace to rely so heavily on the 'lethargic' and indecisive OMac for such a role. Frosty is one of our best.

This is where season ending injuries to important blokes like Lever really have a silver lining.

If our backline remained healthy and firing on all cylinders, I doubt Frost ever gets back in our best 22 and playing the sort of footy that has seem him become one of the most improved players of 2018 in the entire league.

He has been an absolute revelation with his closing speed, spoiling, and his run off half back we can now confidently say Frost is the gorilla backman with x factor we were desperately hoping he'd become.

While that is probably true, there is also a good chance that picking Petty over Frost gave Sam the extra motivation to work harder on the areas he needed to and that decision could have been the spur for him to be playing as he currently is.

The truth is that he has improved not by much and although he has been given the exposure  most recently he was always the better prospect than Oscar because he plays the game on instinct.Knows to take on the game on. I was so furious with him not been selected as first choice for Lever. Try and get him out of the side now.   With respect Omac.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh

They are out for a run just as it starts raining. It didn't last long, ended up a reasonable session weather wise.  Light duties, BBB, rehab Farris-White, Melky, Salem and Spargo, all with private trainers. They are all playing soccer, huge amount of noise. 36-40 (difficult to get a count) in the main squad, biggest I've seen it in ages. Choco is barking out the orders. Goody has intense body language as he observes. Bowey in a lime green cap (no contact), and in the sim

    ICEBREAKER by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have broken the ice for season 2024 with a pulsating come-from-behind victory over Port Melbourne in which it took the lead for the first time at the halfway mark of the final quarter. The game played in mild Autumn conditions in neutral territory at Kinetic Park, Frankston, never reached great heights in standard but it proved gripping in character at the end at the Casey Demons overcame the Borough to win by 15 points after trailing badly early in the second half.  P

    MAULED by Whispering Jack

The writing was on the wall from the very first bounce of the football. The big men went up, Max Gawn more often than not, decisively won the ruck hit out and invariably a Brisbane Lions onballer either won the battle on the ground or halved the contest and they went at it repeatedly until they finally won out. Melbourne managed the first goal from Alex Neal-Bullen but after that the visitors shut out every area of Demon presence around the ground except in the ruck duels. It was a mauling.
