Hibbo in the fwd line? possibly nullifying Mcgovern? or just team sheets not really reflecting positions.

If Charlie's inclusion in the starting 18 means that he will play on Sunday (as it usually does), then I know even less about football than I thought I did.  I really think he has a bright future, but to me, he has looked 'cooked' for the last several games.  I hope we don't look back on his inclusion as another costly selection blunder.

nah JKH IS A DUD. Play Hannan

Hibberd in the forward line has me bum-puzzled. Goodwin doesn't play ducks and drakes like that.
Tom McDonald Mk. II…?

Would be interesting if he is playing ducks and drakes. Hibberd to negate McGovern. Or just make Westcoast worry about it.....

Maybe you're just making arsumptions about the hole thing.

Tmac said a couple of weeks back, "it's just a team sheet - wouldn't pay too much attention to it"

Hibberd and Tyson both out of position, just being clear they're named

Would say Melk and Kent own those positions and leaves 2 more for the bench... Be guessing as to who

Honestly our selection committee have some kind of man love for Spargo. I like him, but I would be bringing in anyone else after last week's performance.

I want Kent to have a run before his contract is up and we have to make a call on his future.

I think WC may struggle to contain the smalls give their tall defenders, hence why Spargo is still playing.

Happy to see Spargo backed in, and not surprised to see it. He made some poor decisions last week - but won't make them again. It's called development.

What a joke, Spargo keeps his spot.

I have to agree, I can’t see how the match committee feel he’s done enough over the last few weeks to retain his spot. If nothing else he just looks off the pace

I’m picturing the bench as: Kent, Melksham, Fritsch, JKH

Against the Eagles,

I'd place on the bench:

  • Kent,
  • Melksham,
  • Pedersen, and
  • Wagner.

I'd take from the bench:

  • JKH,
  • Hannan,
  • Fritsch, and
  • Garlett.

But then again, Hannan would be good in the team to replace Lewis at Bkpkt and Fritsh should be in for Spargo.

I think he survives because of Garletts performance, can't be playing musical chairs with the forward line. Plain and simple

I'd be amazed it Fritsch is dropped before Spargo.

Garlett frustrates me no end at the moment.  I feel as though every time we need him to perform in a big game he goes missing.  His best performance since returning to the senior side was against Gold Coast.  Even SWYL could have snagged a few against that mob.

I'd rather us play Kent than Garlett.  Melksham, Weid and Hibberd are the other ins.  With Hogan and Hunt, I'd be looking at dropping Garlett and Pedersen.  JKH survives by the hair of his chinny chin chin.

Just guessing we'll wear

the navy blue jumper with the red back, white shorts and red socks

... and a jock strap.

Spargo may well be a GOOD future player but right now.

1 He is Too Slow

2 Cannot kick more than 35 Meters which is school boy stuff.

On a fast track he will be exposed big time!

Also JKH if he plays is the luckiest player next to Spargo Currently going around! IMV

I’m a Garlett fan and still a believer... I’d like to see a final bench of:

Melksham, Kent, Garlett and Fritsch.

Plenty of run and pace there.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
