Fritsch unlucky? Harmes/Melksham lucky?

Best of luck to Sam, hope he makes it. Think we shouldve picked Pedo though

I think 2 games in 5 days will see him back against Essendon

Our changes are decent IMO. They've lost some best 22 players to injury and suspension, so that helps us. Let's see if the boys can fire up this week after sh*tting the bed last week against the Hawks.

Disagree about pedo. The weed has shown good form at casey and is the future. Games like this will only help. If he can't mark then spoil for the crummers.

I like the changes this week.

Weidmann gets a chance which is great, which gives us the second ruckman we need and a taller player to complement Hogan, especially when he pushes up the ground.

Tyson coming in adds a good, solid mid to the mix and allows us to potentially play Oliver forward a little more.

Stretch and Hunt give us some outside run which is something we have lacked a little of.

I'd love the get a win this week and I think this team gives us a shot at it.

I want to see Hunt take the game on and break the game open like he did last year. Goody says he had discovered thjat aspect of his game again in the magoo's. That's great because it was non-existent in the rounds before he was dropped. Mind you, the whole back six have been ordinary since we brought that potato gem Lever in. (jokes) sort of..

I'm all for getting some games and experience into Weed. Part of me is a bit meh on it tho. I hate Richmond more than any club, and it's such a big stage and important game that could be season defining. Against what was the best defence in the game last season with some experienced defenders, he'll more than likely get eaten alive. And that SHOULD be ok. We need to find out about him. Just a shame for the desperate-for-a-win crowd, like me, as Pedo would have been the better in IMHO for the next 4 quarters of MFCs life.

Not thrilled that Fritsch is out.

I hope it's part of a bigger plan that he misses tomorrow but ones straight back in for Sunday

I would say Fritsch having a rest and might be back for Essendon off a short break.

I worry about losing leg speed but I suppose Hunt and Stretch in balance that out a bit.

Not confident at all.

Good changes, although I like Fritsch.

Rapt with the Weideman decision.

Pedersen is a dud key forward at AFL level, which has been proven time and time again.

We all want to win.

You do realise that Weideman played in our best win last year ?

Fritsch probably unlucky.

Fmd...unlucky...very.. One of the very few to NOT wave the white flag !!

His reward.... dropped.

This club has NO legitimate standards anymore.

Absolutely, Harmes and Melksham should have been out before Fritsch, good stuff the Weed is in, he needs to stay in for at least a month

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
