Goodwin should see out his contract.

We need to make changes and I'm sure we will.

Look at the positives we can't play any worse and we play Richmond at the best time after an easy win, they won't be ready for the fire and brimstone we will provide next week.

The Dees WILL WIN by 12 points.

Wrong place to come after a loss if you want no negative comments. Hell, wrong place to come any time if you’re looking for positivity.

Sorry but can't find any positive comments to say after that effort against  what I reckon will be a bottom 8 side at best.

Oliver showed his class, Salem continued his steady progress (equal most clearances), Brayshaw was decent and showed his underlying class and hardness in his first game back, O'Mac showed that he's developing into a fine KPD, Jones did a great run-with role on Mitchell, and Fritsch - even though he didn't do much - continued to show that he has footy smarts and talent.

Hawthorn were very good today and if they play like anything close to that all year, they'll go a long way. Thank god Burgoyne was out ...

Who's pleasuring you werridee? There was absolutely nothing to be positive about today. If you think there was you need help bud.

There was nothing positive about todays performance. I'm talking about the future we won't play Richmond at a better time and we have Tyson and Hannan to come back in and Pedersen, Hunt and Stretch played well for Casey. We also have T.McDonald and Viney to come back in soon.

Sure, we might respond to a horrendous loss and have a good win, but it's not the bounce back game, its the weeks after where we regress back to the same ol crud that worries me. We are a yo-yo.

I am expecting to see the players go to the PA  on Monday and ask not to play against Hawthorn ever again as its to tough on them, just like they did about THE CAMP.

Is that positive enough for you?

This is as bad as Rd 23 last year. When will they learn.

I don't think Werridee is suggesting yesterday's performance was anything other than awful - it wasn't. It was dreadful and you'd have to be stone hearted not to have finished that game not at least a bit pizzed off by it.

It's just that the sack Goodwin, we're doomed, it's all been for nothing, we're never going to be good crap is totally over the top.

to be honest, the only positive i can find is that OMac has been unnoticeable which can only be a good thing.

I’m quite positive that you don’t watch the games. Omac unnoticeable? He’s probably been the biggest positive this year in terms of improvement.

Positives?

At least we aren't Carlton.  Or St. Kilda.  Or Brisbane.  Or the Gold Coast.

Our improvement will continue to come from the plethora of players we have in the 30-60 game bracket, which is much of the current senior side.

I'm interested to see the response, not just from the players, but from the coaches box as well.  Will we line up with one off the back of the square, or will Goodwin look for us to go man on man?

The result was a shocker, and the performance was highly disappointing, but it's not the end of the world.

Maybe I am, so are a number of posters that placed a 6 next to Omac in the Votes thread.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
