Still a 1/2 of footy to go...

This club continues to breaks the hearts of its supporters & questions need to be asked....an opportunity to secure a finals spot vs a team playing for what?

Were is the leadership to ensure the team is up for the game?

Were is the intensity required to play at this level & for finals?

Christ imagine if we played their first string side. Where is the defensive aspect to our game. I'd pay my house if we could stick a bloody tackle.

Regardless of the result. We still need to find more Leaders

Jones doesn't know how to lead in these situations. It has happened so many times before. I am sure he wants to, but he doesn't know how to rise above extreme pressure.

Once again expection has cracked us.

1 more hour to make a change

Goodwin get us back on track.

Hogan out with a hammy. Did he come across a black cat or something.  What a  [censored] performance so far.

We just cannot handle being overwhelming favorites.

Maybe we are to scared to play finals.

Hamstring, done for the day (at least).

Effing hell. We'd be 12 goals down already if we were playing a decent side.

Can't believe how bad we play whenever we play teams we should be flogging!

Woke up in London praying to myself "please let us be comfortably in front, or at least in front, I'll take that!" To be almost 30pts down at half time is sickening, the Pies have put many of their best players out for next year, they don't have finals to play for, the only things they are playing for is pride and the chance to humiliate us.

I think something that annoys me the most about this is how many times have WE been in the same situation in the last 10 years and gone out with a whimper (flogged by Geelong final round last year), say what you like about the Pies but they have pride for the jumper and the club.

I was quietly confident about this week but was also concerned about the premature finals talk. I love this club, but sometimes I hate following them.

This second half is where we find out the metal of these players and perhaps if Goodwin is able to get them up again.

STAND THE F--- UP DEES!!!!

Jesse is so bloody unlucky.

Best player we have.

Dad dies.

Gets cancer.

Breaks collarbone.

Comes back to kick six goals then have his hammy give up.

I would change clubs if I were him.

Had a feeling Id be having to hope someone loses to play finals.

We all delude ourselves as Dees supporters.

Me too, Guilty of drinking the coolade.

Interesting that Hogan has run out with the players doing warm up

He doesn't look good though.

Vince should sacrifice his season and take Elliot out of the game. Killing us.

Nothing against Bernie, he'd just know how to get it done.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
