Funny feeling about the Port/West Coast game.

If West Coast win, then our path into the top 4 opens a little wider.

If Port win, our security in the top 8 is that tiny bit better.

Despite last week's poor result, and the ridiculous injury crisis we're going through, I'm hoping for a West Coast win. I still believe the Demons are on the hunt for the top 4 spot, rather than just clinging on.

I want a Port win. Yes we'll drop out of the 4 but Meth Coast have a decent run in the next few weeks. Want to control our own destiny and we still have Port to play

Bummer, but the positive aspect is another team falling back into the rest of the bottleneck. West Coast blowing another Domain game should further erode their confidence (and they already stink interstate). They have 4 or 5 more games at Domain so it's great that it isn't a fortress.

Going to be very hard for us to crack the top 4 though.

Couldn't West Coast have just given us one week in the top 4? Just one? 

I reckon every result went against us this week (Essendon won, Sydney won, St Kilda won, Port beat West Coast).

Still, our season is in our hands, not anyone else's.

Adelaide next week, and Port the following. Win both and we are in top 4.

Then keep winning. Easy really. ?

Little known fact.  The Umpiring fraternity have a secluded resort where they can unwind during the off-season and breaks.  It is donated to them by the Goldstein family in thanks for their services to football. 

 

I am very peeved at Richmond and West Coast.  They just can't get up and win when I need them to.

I was glad the Eagles lost as I'd much rather have that 1 game and percentage buffer with the games we have coming up while still undermanned. There's still time to get 4th if we're good enough, particularly with a game against Port yet to come.

Yep - entry in to the top 4 would have been nice, but ultimately I think it's good that the teams below us keep losing and we open the gap. We can claw back the games we are behind the teams above, especially considering we play 3 of the 4 of them.

Just gotta keep winning!
