For those who are on the facebook pages you would have come across this name Hibby Hibbert. He was a larger then life character who was pretty passionate and vocal character who once admitting to being Yze Magic here on demonland. Don't know how true that was but a real tragic to lose one of our former great supporters.

Rip mate.

A ripping bloke to sit down and have a beer with and talk demons, this is a terribly shocking revelation. RIP Hibby, you'll be sadly missed.

Yze_Magic still posts on Demonland under another alias. 95% sure of that.

Not familiar with Hibby Hibbert but may he rest in peace. Hope he got to see Watts' magnificent goal on Monday as his final MFC memory.

Hey Guys,

Haven't been on for quite sometime but thought it might be a good time to come on and have a chat about Hibby.

Hibby was larger than life. Not just in stature, but he had the personality and passion of no other.

He loved this club. Hence why we got along so well.

There were only two types of clothing Hibby owned. His work uniform, and Dees apparel.

Thos who had the pleasure know that he loved a frothy, loved a dart and loved nothing more than chewing the fat over the Dees.

I will miss him. He was one guy I always knew I would bump into at the game or on the train home.

A top bloke all round.

United with his Sister, who he tragically lost a few years ago.

Rest In Peace, Matthew 'Hibby' Hibbert

Rather shocked by this. He added me on Facebook randomly to talk Melbourne. Always invited me for a beer but the Royal Pre-game with the misses is a hard sell lol funny guy and very kind. One of the most passionate Dees fans out there.

Seems his family took his Facebook page offline. Understandable.

He's not the guy they showed quite distressed after the huge Essendon loss during the Neeld days.

If so he was in Transport on Monday before the game.

R.I.P. Hibby, I enjoyed teaching him at Warragul Regional College, not many Dees supporters in Warragul. Always passionate about the Dees, former player with local club Dusties and enjoyed his cricket with Western Park. Sympathy to his family and close friends.

This [censored] club. Another faithful member who has lived their entire life without ever experiencing the ultimate in sporting supporter success. We need to build a memorial. And then another one for those who have somehow stuck with us since 64.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
