West Coast's final play from Wright's behind was as bad as anything Richmond did in its close losses.

Around one minute to go, Hurn kicks short to Mitchell. Mitchell uses up 10 seconds or so then kicks short to the boundary line. Hill then rushes the kick down the line straight to GC's best mark, Tom Lynch.

Eagles without Kennedy are just an average side at best (even with him they're not that good).

And again we have a Whinge Twin whining to the MRP. And watch Chickenhawk get off Scott-free. For an organisation as spineless as the MRP, putting pressure on them works every time.

No choice but to break a long-held rule tonight and barrack for Richmond to smash a team to smithereens.

Honestly I’m more worried about North doing damage in the finals than Richmond.

Nah. Meth Coke are weak. The MFC has to start the game with that attitude.

There are no excuses, that is my point

don't blame it all on Gawn or Hogan...

We are also weak.

lost to Norf. Freo (at the G) & Hawthorn (dads army)

Remind me who is on the MRP?  Even the one who said a couple of weeks back that he had no idea about striking rules will be determining the fate of one of his ex teammates.   A totally disreputable inept and corrupt body

Just looking at the lead up to the "jumper punch" it looked like Menagola may have sunk in a short slipper jab. I am sure it won't be looked at though.

gw$ have 26 fit players to pick from, and currently have neafl, vfl and wafl players playing for em.

it's gonna be frightening if they can get their best players all fit at once.

Their depth isn't great. Their NEAFL players are ordinary. Lids and Griffin look done. Johnson is on his last legs. Shaw is not the same player. Take Josh Kelly out of their side and they would be about as effective as MFC. Opposition teams should have been opening their purse strings for Kelly and Whitfield last year. They have missed the boat. But if either of those players leave GWS at years end, they won't replace them. Shiel and Ward aren't effective. Lids barely plays. Griffin has achieved nothing. GWS lose Kelly and Whitfield then they won't win a flag for a long while.

This Richmond / north game,I hate them both. A draw would be the best outcome or would it be?

If one of them has to beat the other, what would be the best for us?

north losing seriously dents their chances of making the 8 but Richmond losing means they are only one game above us and are therefore gettable.

Don't mind either result but on balance a Richmond loss would be preferred.

A draw would be interesting

I like the synergy of that offer ....... it has a certain Scullyesque ring to it.

Imagine being the poor (probably unpaid) volunteer who went to the trouble to set that all up for the team, then probably ended up the one who had to clean it up.

Massive [censored].

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
