Win 4 lose 2. Maybe being overly optimistic. Crows and North worry me the most.

The round 9 game could be interesting against North as we are 2 sides that snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Could TWSNBN be running that hard at the end of 4 quarters after only four clear days break, oh, that's right, they have WC's old coach.

Did notice the boys are looking bigger every week. Between cross eyed umpires, that can't throw straight from the boundary line and half the bleeding hearts club from the Whiney Hill Corridor it's a big ask for any opposition for the next five years until they "get back on their feet".

I agree & reckon we'll see improvement in the second half. I'm expecting a few poor weeks (Essendrug is a win) but late season development a strong possibility.

I think that is pivotal.

In the weeks sans Hogan Watts was called upon to do more ruck work than he should have, leaving an underdone (and in has last game injured) Weideman as the kay forward, far from ideal structurally.

That is why Pedersen (or even Keilty,  maybe) to take the lion's share of ruck work, hoping to contest and maybe nearly break even, would allow JW4 and Hogan to work as a team up forward.

I always found it difficult to place us in the top eight at the start of the year. Personally, I think the likes of Petracca, Brayshaw, Salem, Hunt, Stretch, Oliver and Hogan are all another 20-30 games away from really hitting their stride and playing consistent football week in, week out. 

Saying that, I still think that a 4-2 result over the next four weeks is highly achievable. On paper, I believe we should beat Hawthorn, North, Gold Coast and Collingwood. As mentioned in another post, Essendon is about a 50/50 game and we'll be lucky to stay in reaching distance against the Crows in Adelaide. 

That would give us a 6-5 result going into the bye. I wouldn't say I'm optimistic about our chances this year, but anything is possible from there.

It seems that we can only get ourselves up properly against a serious challenger or for a big-time match. The worst we've played this year is against Carlton and Freo. In that sense, we're at risk of going 2-4. Not because we're crap, but because every one else is.
