I know it's early, but a Port loss here could be handy for us. And a big loss for Essendon tonight could see us back in the 8. :D

*tongue planted firmly in cheek*

What a shame. Would've loved to have been 4-0 or 3-1, and cheering for the strongest teams to lose so we could contest for the top 4. Now we have to barrack for them to keep middle-table teams firmly in the middle.

I'm liking the look of this Essendon game. This could be 50+ points at the moment. But aren't the Crows a scary proposition? Especially, in Adelaide.

I feel a bit sorry for Brad, he looked a little confused. At least he wasn't frothing at the mouth. He is the likeable Scott !

Hmmm....such a thing? :)

Wow good start by Tex 4 goals and it's only the 1st quarter. 9 goals in the first term. They are a scary team Adelaide. Would make a day a bit happier if they smash the bummers. Geez what a difference it makes having a key forward up there to kick to.

The good news is that we did not throw the kitchen sink at Hurley as he's yet to come back and find any form at all. Probably the rustiest of all 12 that were suspended. Throwing money and first round picks at a 27 year old on the decline would've been a massive mistake.

†hough if Hibberd and Melksham don't come on then we've basically done it anyway with 2nd rounds and 2 x 400k a year players

Wow the crows have kicked our goals total and it's only half time. Geez Walker and Betts are quickly becoming a star duo. They have kicked 5 each. amazing when a team can kick straight also. Watching them play and how they play just shows how far we are behind certain teams.

Watching the Blues v Suns game and it's good to hear the umpires naming the 2 who will contest the ruck contest after the shambles in the North v Doggies game.

Gee, Dwayne Russell continues his moronic existence. Been saying all night that whoever wins out of the Blues and Gold Coast will go into the 8. Unless they'd won by 10 goals, the Suns were never going into the 8. He is an all round spud and how he keeps his job I'll never know.

The Crows lost Patrick Dangerfield 18 months ago, got peanuts in return and went on to become an even better team and club and should now be premiership favorites.

Why the hell cant the Melbourne football club have that sort of passion and pride?

Nobody cares enough when the heat is applied red hot.

The Crows also lost a coach mid season and kept winning...

The MFC is still a mile behind even with more talent.

Dont despair, we will be back in the eight in about 3 minutes from now!

Maybe he's actually got some kind of degenerative disease

Come on, Crows. One more goal to get it over 70 points.

We should be top 2. But that is akin to sustained hard work

Could be worse, we could've signed up Chris Mayne for $500,000 a year for four years.

I have higher hopes for Hibberd than for Melksham. Hibberd has speed, can play small and tall and uses it well. Melksham is quick but is an erratic kick.

How good is the Adelaide team defence? That's where our defence has to get to. We either import the personnel that can play as well, or we hope that our guys come on quickly. They are looking impregnable.

North Melbourne have now lost 10 consecutive games (but were a bit unlucky vs Geelong and WB in the last few weeks)  The media haven't noticed yet so Brad Scott is not feeling any heat.

Their next month is:  Freo, GCS, Adel, Swans.  No obvious wins there.

If they don't get a few wins soon it won't be long before the media blow torch focuses on Scott.

On a different note, enjoyed the hiding Adelaide gave the Bombers:cool:

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
