Maverick Weller is surely the ugliest man in footy.

Then I switch the channel and see Lingy.

Some of those gws players with the man buns don't look so great.

He didn't commit fully for one.

that said, he was good for us when he was the number one ruck, useless elsewhere. How many times will he have been number one ruck against Max Gawn?

Stef is a good ruckman, not a gun. Max is a gun.

Stef was out injured for most of his career at Melbourne apart from one season. Always had talent and always capable of the deft and the daft. Does the basics better these days no doubt.

Didn’t Mitch Clark have a go at his girlfriend?

I tipped the Lions but got cold feet and swapped my tip minutes before the bounce. I’d still prefer the Lions win.

Rules as confusing as ever. No deliberate payed this arvo when a tackled player facing boundary handballed out. Tonight its a free.

Holding the ball/no genuine effort/incorrect disposal an absolute lottery. Most pragmatic view is to let ball drop rather than attempt and miss handball.

So was it injuries that had him turning up late to trainings and meetings?

God I hope the saints win this.

Really? They're going to be one of our major competitors for the eight. Why the heck would you want them to win this?

For one, because it makes our win against them last week that much better.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
