My favourite player already, alongside Tyson. But there a few guys that could join that list. Brayshaw, Hogan, Petracca. Clarry has the highest ceiling out of our mids though and I'd argue out of our players.

big call ! higher ceiling than Hogan and Petracca ?I hope the two I've mentioned become superstars and Clarry goes even past them.

Choo Choo looks the goods, but he needs to trust his ability to kick and not always handball.

He seems to get clear then handball to someone else when I think a kick would be better.

Petracca has a higher ceiling but Oliver is more consistently good.

I think petracca  should always play half forward, Oliver is a pure midfielder

Clarry doesn't remind me of anyone, which is a good thing, as he will create his own legacy.

He has a fair bit of Cripps about him. More skilful though.

He's a hugely exciting prospect. Once he develops a tank, look out.

Prior to Goodwin, the last Ginger coach we had was Norm Smith.

It's a bit like saying though who's the better player out of Franklin or Mitchell. Very hard to say. Both superstars.

A blond -- that could explain quite a lot ?

Unfortunate placement, Bingers! Placed straight after a comment about Simon Goodwin could lead someone to believe that you see Michael Voss (as coach) in Simon Goodwin rather than Michael Voss (as player) in Oliver. At least, I hope you were talking about Michael Voss the player...

For the purposes of certainty (putting on my lawyer hat), Oliver (the player) reminds me of Voss (the player).

I loved the old Choo Choo bars !!!! They were great ! As were liquorice blocks ( 4 for a penny), teeth, liquorice all sorts, cobbers, not to mention fags. Which dummy thought naming them " fads " was a good idea ??? Probably the same idiot that changed the names Dick to Rick and Fanny to Franny in the Magic Faraway stories. Oops I seem to have strayed from the topic somewhat.

I believe young Clayton will turn out to be quite a decent player.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
