Lewis top ballwinner.

Smith was huge in the first half, didn't notice him as much in the latter.

Salem is all class, but we knew that. 

Jones and Viney the usual. 

Oliver was good and did freakish things.

Garlett had a heap of assists. Very unselfish game.

HOGAN! Four goals five marks.

Vince was our second biggest ballwinner, but I hardly noticed him. 

Tracca was solid but needs more ball. 

Wagner injured. Looked like a knee from here. He overextended trying to impact a marking contest and landed really badly.

We have had  quite a few long years in the last decade so I look forward to along year of wins in 2017.

So, for what it's worth, my take:

1.  No stars;

2.  Spencer and Smith provided all the right signs;

3.  Somewhat contradictory to the above, we were more dominant with big Max in the ruck;

4. That was the reigning premiers we just played, so that's got to be worth something.

All the right signs at this time of year, which is certainly better than the wrong ones.

On an aside.... I am amazed that betting is allowed on what is a practice game with no obligation on the coach to try and win.
