That could be the case but it also may be true that a number of them have done it earlier this year.

To get to 45k is a big ask for a small club that has seldom got beyond 35k since day one.

We may have the highest participation rate  in the competition but we have one of the lowest support bases.

Hopefully our AFLW team has broadened our membership base Old Dee. Perhaps worth 500-1,000 new fresh air members?

We have a load of dormant supporters out there. They have been hiding in the shadows for decades. 

If we get on a winning roll and play "1987 style demolition" footy a lot of old battered Demons will join

they don't trust the club yet and who could blame them?

Reluctantly I have to correct you by saying "we have a lot of barrackers out there" and they came out in spades in our last game of 2016 (when we could have made the finals)! Many of these were MCC members who were too tight to pay the extra for their MFC 'add-on'!
