Yep it is amazing. Last night on 360 Robbo went through Bombers’ tale of woe he almost implied Bomber had no choice but to end up where he is now. At one stage neither Robbo or Whately said anything at all and I thought they were having an impromptu minutes silence. 

If the guy is guilty I hope they lock him up.

Lucky but still sad and it appears  mostly just self harm at this stage. It could have been a lot worse. If his self radicalization was more extreme he might have lived up to his nickname.

i always understood they could detect (differentiate) multiple dna profiles in a sample and could therefore at least determine if there was any dna from thompson even where there was police dna on it due to mishandling

unless.... it was suspected that the handling of another item by the police could have transferred thompson's dna from that item to the mdma

whatever, i think this 'contamination' needs to be further explained publicly to eliminate any accusations of 'tampering' with evidence especially as the mdma would appear to be the largest example of 'commercial'  level trafficking

At a guess, it will come down to police not swapping rubber gloves. The procedure would be when an item is located you change gloves to ensure they are sterile so whenever the item is picked up they can’t be an acquisition of transfer of DNA. 

 

The raid would of been video tape and when they were searching they wouldn’t have realised they were picking up a kg of MDMA (it could of been in normal packaging). 

 

When they realised what what they had it would of been too late because it was video. Realising the money that will be thrown at Thompson defence it wasn’t worth using that evidence. 

 

The cladestine unit also deals with drug labs(the only unit that is allowed to make them safe)  and are required to make the lab ‘is safe’ before a complete search is completed. In the process of making the lab safe the above could of occurred.

This has nothing to do with the essendon drug saga, Thompson Left Geelong under a cloud, his drug use would have started years ago, people like to find excuses and someone else to blame when their lives go wrong. it's one thing to take drugs and there's another thing to be a drug dealer no sympathy for drug dealers, Thompson is a rich man already so no need to sell drugs, or maybe he has guilt on his conscience, he brought his Club that he loves on it's knees because he was part of a cheating regime him and hird.

Yeah, but footy fans aren't renowned for their fairness or good judgement. Carlton haven't gotten over their industrial level tanking, WCE only have to blink for people to recall their drugginess, and Essendon will never escape this world class drug scandal.

Well the drug saga came to light as a result of an investigation into organised crime. Which it would seem bomber is also mixed up in. Doesnt seem like too much of a leap to me.

Not to mention that clearly his thinking on the matter of substances going into the body is obviously totally skewed.

BB as someone who knows a bit about addiction, it is a very difficult monster to control.  Individuals are a victim to the addictive qualities of the drug.

I understand your position and your comments have validity. However, believe me, not everyone has choice due ....well to life circumstance, personality and mental health. In this case, you have pricked a nerve. I'm not just talking about Bomber and the scourge of addiction but the whole community of addicts that are trapped in a vicious downward spiral. I'm not sure I like the term addiction but rather that folks who are caught up in this world are trapped because of their physiological and physiological dependence. It does not matter if you have money and fame, the addiction is the same.  Yes, I have sympathy because the future outlook is not good, and I'm not going to state the obvious. Fundamentally, addiction and mental health go hand in hand. We do need sympathy and compassion irrespective of the person.

I am talking about Bomber Ernest. I dont give a flying f about his demise. I dont. 

His own predicament is testament sufficient..youd have thought. He also without doubt had influence upon decisions that affected the welfare of others.

Mental health is a serious issue. Drugs dont help it. It would appear he self medicated in lieu of help.

People that do drugs are weak, and if Thompson was just a addic then there is sympathy, but he is making it selling it and he needs the death penalty he kills people, drug dealers are  murderers, let's start calling these people by their real names, anyone who makes ice are bottom feeders.

Why?   That's what court is for. 

DNA especially trace DNA isn't the panacea that it is made out to be and can come from anywhere.
