Apparently we got the quick answer while I was taking a wiz. Maybe I should spend the rest of the day in the loo.

North and the Hawks are the most protected vic clubs. No wonder we have 2 frees to our name!

And we are playing like crap

Whatever the opposite of a scapegoat is, Cam Pedersen may be that for me right now; but I'm going to keep harping on the fact that our forward structure has seriously suffered in his absence this week.

How the f did we beat Hawthorn ?

Given what was on the line, this is worse than the Essendon debacle.

Carlton have lost their last nine games.

Needless to say I think we were entitled to expect a better outcome than what has been delivered.

Anyway the last week has been fun.

Now back to the usual life of a Melbourne supporter.

Most disappoint effort I can remember. Playing a bottom 4 team who haven't won for nearly 3 months and this is what we serve up. Yes the umpires have been horrendous, but we are playing dumb football with zero intensity. Soul crushing.

Our attitude is disgusting. Pea hearted.

We had everything to play for today and apart from 2 or 3 players we are getting nothing from our players.

Not only do we not deserve to make finals we don't deserve to be considered a team on the rise until this mentally pissweak attitude and soft underbelly is rid of.

Shameful performance.

Rock paper scissors, if rocks were capable of underestimating their opponents.

Calling leaders... leadership... maybe some ideas from the coaches box...

No...

Ok, carry on as we have for the first three quarters.

Respect.
That is our issue.
We think we are something we are not.
Hawthorn can go into a match confident. As can Geelong or Sydney. But you will never find them with an arrogant, laissez faire attitude.
Two times this year this has happened. You would think the Essendon loss would have been the only wake up call we would have needed. Our boys need a pin in their heads before they can think about finals.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
