I enjoyed watching another club implode in the last quater and lose a game you just shouldn't have. The fact Reiwoldt dropped the mark in the last two seconds is even better.

Having watched that game, we should have a truly good chance of taking Geelong down again.

Their coach took 3/4 of the game to realise kicking long to a forward line of Hawkins and not much else wasn't working.

Bartel is picking up superannuation and simply shouldn't be on the field.

If it weren't for Dangerfield and Selwood, they would be bottom half of the ladder.

Would expect every MFC coach (especially Jennings) was watching and analysing that match on the off chance we beat Carlton next week and North lose to Sydney. Geelong aren't the invincible superheroes they think they are -- if Richmond can make them vulnerable, so can we.

But next week remains our hurdle. Too often we've lost the easy ones because we're focused on other things -- can't make that mistake this week. We have to treat every week as an elimination final now.

If we on Demonland were good sports we'd feel sorry for the Tigers.

If those at Tigerland were realistic folk then they would look at themselves and feel sorry for the sport!

Frighteningly BBO, I did. Although how much of it was anger at Geelong for winning I don't know. Maybe if a team becomes perennial losers we stop hating them? I know I don't hate Carlton as much as I did.

What?!?!?

Get a hold of yourself man.

Next thing you'll be feeling sorry for certain other Vic clubs currently down the wrong end of the ladder.

Just imagine the insufferable entitlement that will exude from them if they make their way back up the ladder. The attitude that they are in their rightful place and deserve to be looking down on the rest of us.

Feel better now?

How do you feel about Essendon getting pick 1, just out of interest?

Absolute disgrace. They still haven't fessed up or produced any paperwork

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
