Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?

Wouldn't want to pay overs to get Hibberd but Hurley I would if Tmac was going.

Jetta  Tmac  Hibberd

Wagner  Hurley  Hunt

Does look better on paper than this years defence. As much as Tmac shits me with his kicking, he is vital to our defence. We need to worry more about keeping him then trying to get someone else because we could be left with a massive hole next year

plenty of experience, players love him, might be a good foil for Goody.

McCartney is enough...don't need any more foils for Goody.

With clubs like the Tiges and Blue Boys looking to vamp up their development departments it's essential that we have the best in the business, Macca locked down.

I think Macca will continue to fill that role from the Bench, so i wouldn't be against another experienced assistant coming on board, i'd look very closely at Leigh Tudor, very experienced and been a huge part of some very successful teams.

Unless, they go after Macca as senior coach!

While Beveridge gets the credit most people could see that Macca laid all the ground work and recruited all their current top players.  Macca deserves another go at senior level.

However, Macca is the main reason I have some comfort that Goodwin can coach us to success so we need him to stay at least another year preferably for 2 or 3 more years.

We already have quite a rivalry with the Druggies and this would only increase it. Good for the game, IMO. ;)

Imagine our game against them next year. Three of their former players; their only win for 2016 coming against us; they'd be aiming for the 8; we'd be aiming for the 8. If these two trades eventuate, this has Friday night blockbuster written all over it.

Good Friday night game. Turn the lights out for 1 minute and then start the game.

An Essendon fan also close to the club posted this on twitter. The 'Geoff Hibberd' account has been verified and confirmed it is Michael Hibberd's dad. Since then the comment has been taken down. Interesting.

Agreed, dazzledavey. However it would have been great to get him. I still have some hope, only because Jake Carlisle's parents were saying he wouldn't leave Essendon right up until he left.

Not sure what it all means, b.  Still get the feeling Hibberd doesn't really want to come to the Dees and is using us as a bargainig chip to get what he wants from EFC.

Really only want players at the Dees when they have the right motivation ie win a flag with us!

L.H, I think you have hit the nail on the head.

Similar to Lynch from the Crows last year. Let your current employer think that you might be looking to transfer to the Dees, then sit tight and wait for your preferred x year contract to be lobbed into your lap.

Old man Hibberd, let me advise you of something, and I will do it for free. (I'm taking that post as the real guy, and not a fake)

If you are not actively pushing your son out of the club that saw him become CONVICTED of using illegal, performance enhancing drugs (The players claim it was against their knowledge), then I believe you are failing in your duty to take care of your son. IE:, you are a crap parent.

Or did you and your son actually know what was stuck into him, but you went along with it, because you would do whatever it takes to see your son win a flag? I Would be interested to hear your answer. Either way, you are free to keep your convicted drug cheat son at the bummers, and watch his career fade into obscurity, while you both wonder, "what if"......

Fair comment. I guess the only answer to it is that the players and the club still think they are actually innocent. Also funny how you aren't bagging melksham and definitely would not have bagged hibberd if he came to us. They are still drug cheats wherever they are.

Mind you, they will all be spewing that our first round pick wont fall in their laps, in exchange for a convicted drug cheat, who has had a year out of the game.

I get the feeling that the idiot essendrug supporters think that they will automatically launch into the 8 once the convicted cheats return.

Prepare for heartache druggo supporters. It aint that simple.

I beg your pardon mate?

Let me spell it out for you in English.

I believe Melksham is a drug cheat. Once again, for clarity. I think Jake Melksham used illegal, performance enhancing drugs.

WADA, the WORLD Anti Doping Agency, brought a case to the Court or Arbitration for Sport, and they WON THE CASE, against the essedon players. That means the essedon players are C.O.N.V.I.C.T.E.D. of using performance enhancing drugs, in an effort to CHEAT, and win games while assisted by drugs. So actually, its not even for me to "believe" It's a fact. Proven by the world experts in drug offences.

That the afl and their ass licking sycophant media has been in denial the whole time, does not sway my opinion at all. This was, to essedon, a chance to cheat their way to a flag. To the afl, it was a superpower club doing its best to win, and as an aside, make the afl squillions. (Please post the K.P.I's of dill, and his lacky's)

You cannot hide your allegiance to the cheats mate, so give it up. A real Melbourne supporter would hate essedon with every atom that spins. You are a bummer supporter, of that there is no doubt.

I have never denied Essendon are drug cheats. In fact I said they were. All I am saying how funny it is when people like you would be more than happy to have Melksham and Hibberd play for our club, but as soon as news breaks that apparently Hibberd may not be coming to the dees, you act like you never wanted him and have hated hi this whole time. Not only that but you personally attacked his father. If he had have come to MFC you would have loved him and never mentioned the drugs saga again.

Braysure, I could not give the slightest fig what your think of me as a human. The same as the convicted drug cheating scum club at essedon doesn't care what the footy world thinks of them, even after they were called out as filthy low life drug cheats.

The woe-is-me attitude of essedon sympahisers makes me want to spew. Don't ask the rest of us to feel down, when you are caught out with your hand in the cookie jar.

Melksham is a convicted drug cheat.

Hibberd is a convicted drug cheat.

Lets see you argue around those points of fact. Give it your best shot pal.

The arrogance from that club and its supporters really is unsurpassed. A couple of my mates are Essendon supporters and to talk footy with them is absolutely painful and pointless. As soon as you talk footy, all of a sudden they start to exude arrogance.

    DEPTH CHARGE by Whispering Jack

The jubilation on the coach’s face as he danced a celebratory jig by the playing bench after the final siren sounded to record his team’s four-point victory over the Demons when the teams last met, said it all.    On that rainy Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, Ken Hinkley’s young midfield secured much more than four points on offer. The victory over one of the big dogs of the competition after a succession of wins over some of its lesser lights gave his team respect and validation fo

    HIBERNATING by KC from Casey

When they locked up the rooms for summer at the end of last year’s football season, the rooms gathered cobwebs, the atmosphere became dense and the place developed a sleepy feel. They opened up the rooms to let Casey out to play on Sunday but the team was still hibernating and they missed the bulk of the opening quarter. By the time they worked out it was game on, their opponents from Box Hill had accumulated five goals and, if the game wasn’t over, it might as well have been. For a se

A FORK IN THE HAWK by George on the Outer

For too long in the past, Demon fans became habitually sick and tired of watching the Hawks hand out thrashings to their side. But Melbourne’s empahtic 55-point win at the MCG on Saturday has truly put a fork in the Hawk and turned that history well and truly on its head. The Demons have now won nine of their last ten encounters with the other result, a draw.     And like a fork, it was the multi-pronged options that Melbourne had all across the ground.  It certainly helped that Hawthorn
