Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Can't see why Vince will get suspended for a bump on the shoulder and no real impact on the player he supposedly hit 'high'.

Gawn was well beaten alright... by the maggots! The umpires continually let the Bulldog ruckman impede his run at the ball while allowing Bonts to have a clear hit as third man up. Contrast this approach by the maggots to the free against Hickey for impeding Goldstein!

Oliver's minimal impact had him top 5 for handballs and around top 5 or 6 for tackles!

Apart from that DemonLAd5, I reckon you're pretty close!

Viney - Disappointed me today

Will post more on this tomorrow when I have some time but he really needs to work on some aspects of his game if he is to be truly elite and the leader we want him to be.

I know most if not all will not agree...but it's how I saw it.

Tyson - our best today

Jetta - not far behind

Oliver - kick the ball

Oliver is a bit like a young Jobe Watson who early in his career wouldn't kick the ball but all of a sudden it clicked. I'm sure the same will happen to Clarrie.

That was part of the problem yesterday. His game was very similar to his Brisbane game. He got a lot more of the ball but he had little influence. He wasn't alone in that regard, though.

Tyson again gets a kick from Joeboy ( Tyson must have kicked his cat)   - was he more wasteful than Jack Viney ?

Tyson is constantly tackled as soon as he gets the ball and usually doesn't free his arms to get the ball out. He's gone backwards this year.

MFC - fit of fumbles

He went backwards last year  - injuries and couldn't get himself right. He has been very solid this year and again compare his game to Viney's. As many times as Tyson got tackled as soon as he got the ball  - so was Viney. There many secondary stoppages caused by Viney getting tackled and not free as there were with Tyson. Selective analysis in my opinion.

Tyson's getting back to his levels where he finished runner up in our B&F not backwards.

He's averaging equal or higher in disposals, goals, tackles, Inside 50s and Score Assists than that year, and all are a marked improvement on last year.

You say this every week. Why? His kicking was sharp yesterday, one of our goals was directly caused by Tyson successfully executing a risky but perfect 50m kick into the corridor to Jones who was surrounded by Bulldogs. I don't recall any of his other kicks missing the mark either.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
