The 'signing in six months' isn't the revelation in GNF's post.  People are repeating that timeframe as a means of discrediting his source and information.

The fact that Jesse has officially told the club that he wants to sign on again is the new information that GNF has contributed to the discussion.  To my knowledge, no media outlet has stated that Jesse has definitely informed the club that he wants an extension.

This therefore is new and interesting formation.

The "signing in six months" puts the credibility of the post in doubt, because it doesn't make any sense.

What timeframe to negotiate, draft, sign and announce a multi-million dollar contract would be more believable?

Bearing in mind negotiations have not been ongoing...

Nonsense... as has already been mentioned in this "discussion", the news that Hogan would like to remain a Demon is NOT new information at all... it was in the press on July 21 and the only difference is that GNF is claiming that he got the info from the inner sanctum:

Great!

But doesn't that just confirm GNF's post?

As far as I can tell, it only confirms that GNF was not getting his info from the inner sanctum, but that he was just taking what was already in the media and claiming it's a done deal.  I think you will find GNF's post was made well after the July 21 date of that article (3rd August in fact).

So you don't have to put batteries in it because it's pretty well right all the time!

So the 'inner sanctum' is not discussing Jesse Hogan telling the club he wants a contract extension?? I would imagine they'd be talking about little else.

Even the people who believe what GNF posted was true are having a go at him!

Members Wing posts a conversation with Dangerfield where he confirms something we all knew to be true and he gets shot down as well.

Ive never been privy to any real inside information, but if I was, I'd think twice before sharing.

I have read some outlandish "facts" on this website before  - I hope everyone keeps posting everything from the believable to the totally unbelievable and let all make up their own mind as to how believable a post it actually is.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to be somewhere else so I am going to hop aboard my dragon and fly to the planet Xerxes.

Exactly, what do people expect, a specific date?

Those quotes are extracts, with minor rewording from the article 'hardtack' quotes below!!

I had forgotten that article 'hardtack'!  A few days ago I gave GNF credit for 'playing the probabilities, with logic' to get his statements/predictions.  It seems I gave him too much credit.  To see his post is just a collection of extracts from that article is particularly disappointing.  I feel he is having a lend of fellow Deelanders.  Not nice, especially as he knows he has some standing on DL.

When queried about the post he said:

My advice...... don't bother, take a deep breath a relax. There is no need to stress about this one any more.

Obviously I can't say anything more.

It is another 'riddle' like comment and just stringing people along.  I guess he couldn't exactly own up to his source being a WA newspaper!  (BTW the article was discussed on DL from July 21 so info not new).

7 pages of bashing a poster with basically no discussion around Jesse Hogan.

Demonland at it's finest.

GNF's post aside, i personally believe Jesse will re-sign before the start of Pre Season, he looks super committed to the club and it's direction and i reckon he'd be super excited about playing with his future partner in crime this weekend

I suspect partners in crime, not discounting Watts and Petracca. It could be exciting tomorrow, particularly if Garlett remembers where the goals are.

It happens everytime GNF posts, it's alway the same posters having to tell us for the 1000th time they think he's full of it and then go on to explain to us in post after boring post why

Do you need to be argumentative and highly strung to follow Melbourne OR does following Melbourne make you highly strung and argumentative?  (This excludes Nutbean who is clearly totally in touch with his inner Nut!)

Definitely time we moved on, those posters know where the ignore button is and they should know they don't have to read his posts.

Garlett needs to remember that he can be beside his opponent, or in front of him, or even somewhere not near him.

He doesn't need to be behind him all the time.

Whether you believe GNF or not, the fact we have spent half a dozen pages debating the legitimacy shows just how crap discussion is on this site.

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
