Jeezus what a bunch of chicken littles. I'd place more importance on his Melbourne gf than buying a shlt property in Perth.

property is more about the future...   He has a finite term in AFL, whatever that may be and hes setting himselff up for afterwards.. Clever lad. I would be surprised if he doesnt buy more property while he can do so

Doubleview is one of those old  Homes West suburbs which is equivalent to Victorian Housing Commision areas and which is becoming gentrifed due to its proximity to fine northern beaches and the CBD and would be a good investment opportunity. May be a coincidence but I am sure I saw Hogan at a restaurant in the area around February so he could have a connection with the locality.

He grew up around Scarborough didn't he? Close enough to Doubleview.

Sorry I didn't have time to read 447 comments. I still think buying a house in Perth that could easily be knocked down and a palace built means something. Why not buy one here in Melbourne?

I would suggest that a lot of his support structure and what he/his family knows is in Perth. I lived in HKG and didn't know if i was coming back or where I would be living but I invested in Melbourne - it's what I knew. Still own the flat  - no intention of living in it. It could mean a lot or it could mean nothing that Jesse has invested in Perth. Again, only he would know.

There was a rumour a while back he had bought a place in South Yarra. Not sure if it was ever confirmed, but I am not worried either way, as he will stay with the Dees long term.

Maybe he's setting himself up for the future, maybe it's an investment and he's going to put four townhouses on it. Footballers buy real estate all over the country, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I bought a house in Melbourne six months ago, doesn't mean I'm moving back anytime soon.

Disappointed.

I'll just cancel the hookers then. Was gonna be one hell of a party.

We still have 3 days to go, for the big announcement of Jesse's re-signing with us, to be made, before the Crows game, as some on here predicted.

Fairly confident hes waiting to see if free agency is reduced to 6 or 7 years and will commit up until this point.

thats not to say that he would definetely leave at the end of it especially if were genuine contenders

I'm not one to make predictions but I think he'll sign a 3-5 year extension by the end of the season. I'll bet Stuie's left nut on it.

Generous of you ET

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
