Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

The very last thing we need right now is to be involved in any sort of controversy.  We are slowly but surely starting emerge from the 'dung heap' of the last decade, but we are still in a 'fragile' state.  Any whiff of an odour emanating from what Barrett is peddling needs to be doused quickly, before it can impact in critical areas such as player retention and recruitment and memberships.  We don't need setbacks!

He is a pharmacist from memory. Started higher studies in other areas but never finished them. On of the funniest Essendon supporters I have heard was defending Dank saying he did all the work for a Phd but didn't finish because he didn't write it up, WTF!

Yeah, just brilliant.....

I recall Dunn's name also coming up at that particular time. And I don't think it was the ointment.

If I recall Dunn & some others had a Vitamin injection or something.

Anyway it was cleared because it was prescribed & documented. And injected by a qualified nurse I think.

As for Warriors report, he didn't state ASADA were interested in anyone other than Bock, based on Dank's BS.

He just likes to embellish things by implication and not statement of fact.

"From what I can tell he's got a physiology or pharmacology degree,'' Bishop, a research leader at Victoria University, said.

In February Dank told an interview with the ABC's 7.30 that he had a degree in biochemistry from the Queensland University of Technology, and was a PhD candidate (suspended last year) at the University of Sydney for a thesis on antioxidants.

It is believed Dank undertook a Masters degree in sports science at the University of NSW in the mid 1990s, but it is unclear whether he graduated.

"We have searched our system and have not been able to find a record of a Stephen Dank graduating from UNSW,'' a university spokeswoman said yesterday.

One of Dank's lecturers at the University of NSW, Kevin Norton, described him as a likable and intelligent student, but added "I can't say for sure that he qualified for his Masters."

"I'm not sure whether he graduated or not,'' Norton said.

I could remember it was one of the pharma's. Pretty sure I did read somewhere it was pharmacy, oh well, it doesn't really matter because he does appear to have some sort of qualification.

No further than having discussions with Bates and exchanges with Dunn as presented on the 7.30 report some time ago. I'm sure there is more information available if you go looking but frankly I can't be bothered.

He was "around".  That's enough to make me very weary.

I am both weary and wary but there is a huge difference between the club engaging Dank or anyone else in a formal, legal sense and in the course of such engagement that person breaching AFL rules and having discussions with employees. Various people at the club "engage" with people on that level every day and it doesn't mean that any AFL rules have been breached or that anything sinister has taken place.

thanks chris.

if it was pharmacology or physiology it would just be a straight BSc degree (with one or both of these as a major i.e. 3rd year subject)

I know because i have a major in pharmacology not that it was ever of any use to me - lol

Story's dead, no-one's touched it since last night.

If there was a problem we'd know about it by now.

Agrer 100% and i posted the same at 7:30am this morning. The fact that no one else has run with it after approx 20 hours now says all that needs to be said.

When slobbo broke the story about the filth with recreation drugs it was everywhere. No one at work today even mentioned it around the water cooler.

Time to move on.

unless dank has hard evidence that asada is going to believe then this is going no where. Even if he has hard evidence he has already demonstrated that he is an uncooperative and unreliable witness so again, no action can be taken. He is just a monkey trying to rattle the bars to get attention, but a monkey looks cute, he just looks a fool.

Apparently Barrett is denying the use of multiple testosterone creams on his face.

Sauces on the beat of this information have indeed confirmed he has been taking loads facially as well as ingesting.

Many men are involved and Barrett is not confirming the reports as yet but his acne scarring has healed rapidly due to his man made concoctions according to anonymous reports.

    DEPTH CHARGE by Whispering Jack

The jubilation on the coach’s face as he danced a celebratory jig by the playing bench after the final siren sounded to record his team’s four-point victory over the Demons when the teams last met, said it all.    On that rainy Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, Ken Hinkley’s young midfield secured much more than four points on offer. The victory over one of the big dogs of the competition after a succession of wins over some of its lesser lights gave his team respect and validation fo

    HIBERNATING by KC from Casey

When they locked up the rooms for summer at the end of last year’s football season, the rooms gathered cobwebs, the atmosphere became dense and the place developed a sleepy feel. They opened up the rooms to let Casey out to play on Sunday but the team was still hibernating and they missed the bulk of the opening quarter. By the time they worked out it was game on, their opponents from Box Hill had accumulated five goals and, if the game wasn’t over, it might as well have been. For a se

A FORK IN THE HAWK by George on the Outer

For too long in the past, Demon fans became habitually sick and tired of watching the Hawks hand out thrashings to their side. But Melbourne’s empahtic 55-point win at the MCG on Saturday has truly put a fork in the Hawk and turned that history well and truly on its head. The Demons have now won nine of their last ten encounters with the other result, a draw.     And like a fork, it was the multi-pronged options that Melbourne had all across the ground.  It certainly helped that Hawthorn
