Poor fellas social invitations dried up as well, devastating for him.

By all accounts Little and Hird weren't very buddy, buddy towards the end and neither was the AFL with Hird.

I tend to think a coterie member put up the $750k... you know one of the influential type that miraculously 'convinced' Charter, Alavi etc not to testify at the AFL Tribunal.

If my hunch is right, never fear, they will likely call in the favour one of these day, then Hird will pay his dues.

Nobody stumps up $750K cool ones for no reason ... we may not hear about it but whoever it was will want to collect from the teflon one:ph34r:

Try the AFL "benevolent" fund. They have most to gain in shutting Hird up.

BB is the rumour true that you organized the $750k gift to Hirdy by passing the hat around Demonland?

We all know how much you really care about Hirdy and how you want the true come out about Essendon supplements program.

It certainly has. Which was probably the plan from day 1

Send him to France & then exhaust the court system...

Tracey Holmes should never be in the media again

(Well maybe No Idea Magazine)...

I wouldn't mind the experience of actually having $750k though :)

He seems to be blaming them  now for leading him astray with advice that didn't work. Next he will be suing his own lawyers.

Their legal competence seems to be so good that they will probably sue him for not employing them to mount yet another hopeless appeal ... :blink:

Poor old James still doesn't get it.

The conversations went on between lawyers/solicitors/QC's and their opinions is irrelevant.

The case is about Chubb not indemnifying him for initiating legal action.

He chose to do it. It would appear he was not insured to do so.

I don't understand how that bad advice is relevant to suing his insurers.  Presumably his policy covered him for actions he instigated as long as they are reasonable actions in some legal way?  Oh no, not another case of 'comfortable satisfaction'!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
