Is there a mobile version of the program

it is a little clunky on the iphone

doesnot remember the last post read from each thread

otherwise all good...

The software resizes itself to work on a mobile.

From where and how are you accessing the threads that it's not taking you to the last read post?

From the board index if you want to get to the last read post do not click on the thread title. Click on the dot/star to the left of the thread title. That will take you to the last read post. If the circle or star is unclickable then there is no new content in the thread.

Look at the top right of the screen and click on your name and a drop down box will open. Click on Profile and then when you see your avatar on the left hand side of the page and click on it and follow the prompts.

My avatar is clipped in the new circular shape.

I have no idea in this new software how or where to alter my avatar. This is not urgent so when the important stuff is done can you let is know how to fix this.

This is what happens when I try to  add a reply, it picks up my previous post in the same topic. I either have to delete everything or log out of site and re enter. Others are probably experiencing the same. Great work on the site by the way.

I think it's meant to be like that. In previous versions if you began to write a post and something happened and you went back the post was gone. This version saves what you had in there. It works so well though that it can be a nuisance. For example if you write a post but never send it because you changed your mind or cooled down it's still there waiting for you but only in that thread or message. The message meant for that thread that was never sent won't follow you into other threads. If you see it highlighting it and deleting it is the best way to get rid of it so it won't be there next time.

ManDee can you try to post again and tell me if it's still there?

Did not happen this time as I had been logged out.

Yeah the notifications can be overwhelming. You can switch them off. Are you using a PC or mobile device?

PC - Click the Bell icon at the top of the page (right side between Create and the envelope) and then click Notification Settings and tailor it to suit your needs.

Mobile - Top right of the page is an icon with 3 white horizontal lines. Click it to open it and then click the Bell icon and then click Notification Settings.

I just noticed that when it happened to me.

It's fairly discernible though when you go to click in the body and begin typing a post.

For me this happening when I haven't started writing a post and then not sent it and then I go back and that post is still there. It will remain there until you delete it or post that post or something else within that thread.

What it is doing is auto-saving the post for you.

Are you saying that this is not what is happening and the same post you have already posted is remaining there or popping up in other threads?

On a computer or mobile device? I believe on a computer this is normal keyboard behaviour.

On an iPhone when you start a new sentence wherever a new paragraph or not it automatically selects an upper case.

Try pressing the space bar after the full stop and then hitting return. If you don't hit the spacebar after a full stop and just hit return it won't go to upper case. Hitting the space bar after a full stop will engage the upper case. This is nothing to do with the forum but the iPhone in general.

Also a quick way to get a full stop is by double tapping the spacebar at the end of a sentence. That will also engage the upper case because it will automatically create a space after the full stop.

Having a lot of trouble with it on Safari/Mac OSX. For example, impossible to Quote or even reply properly ... having to do this in Google Chrome.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Just replied to you using safari on a Mac and quoting so no I am not experiencing this.

What version of OSX are you? What version of Safari?

You can find these by clicking the Apple symbol in the top left corner of the screen and selecting the first option About the Mac.

To find the version of Safari. Open Safari. Click the word Safari at the top left of the screen and select the first option About Safari.

Quoting is difficult across the board it seems, some comments (last few posts) on the WADA thread allude to it. It's not just me, and seems from the comments there, not just on a Mac:

"My quote function isn't working"

"quoting is perilous atm"

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.
