Almost all players are tradeable, dependant on the offer.

Jared Polec (Port Adelaide); injured this year, but in his first year away from Brisbane he immediately became a key member of Port's midfield, earning 5 brownlow votes.

Elliott Yeo (West Coast); 24 games, ave 17 disposals, 5 marks, 3.5 tackles, kicked 18 goals. In fairness, it took a second year before really dramatic change.

Patrick Karnezis (Collingwood); nup, still sucks.

Billy Longer (St Kilda); 18 games, 9 disposals and 30 hitouts per game.

Jack Crisp (Collingwood); 22 games, ave 22 disosals, 4.8 tackles, kicked 16 goals

Looks like for all but one of those 'want-away mummies boys', leaving Brisbane made a dramatic and immediate difference to their football career.

But of course, the trouble is that they are 'entitled millenial whingers'. They should see how much loyalty they owe Brisbane, for giving them terrible coaching, a disunited and ego-riddled club living on past glories, and the prospect of their dream falling in a heap before it even got started.

If just one or two of these guys had suddenly turned things around, ok. But so many, so quickly? Even at Carlton?

Y'know what, I've changed my mind, I think we should get in the hunt for all of Aish, Redden and Luenberger.

Dixon - look, yeah, he can take a mark and kick a goal but it is not that simple when he has to fit into Hogan's Forwardline.

I mention that a lot and I am aware that Jesse can adapt to play with anyone and any style of forward set up but I am more interested in winning than fitting all these good players into a forward line so I would like him without internal competition 25-35m out directly in front.

The amount of teams that will double team Hogan and attempt to run off him will skyrocket starting Rd 1, 2016. Giving him the 50 is going to be a tough ask but I don't think another tall like Dixon helps; he has to play deep and when there are two talls inside 50 then Garlett has to there too and suddenly that space is non-existent.

Plus he has played 65 of a possible 110 games the last 5 years.

If we told GCS 'ok we're happy to send Howe your way. If we hypothetically included this years and next years 1st round picks...'

How many players would GCS flat out refuse to discuss trading out for that haul? I'm not saying they'd pull the trigger, but I'd imagine it's a pretty short list.

I would prefer to trade next years first rounder as it is likely to be around the 9-12 mark. If we can use it to trade for an A grade mid with one of ToumpAs Howe Dawes ect and Draft Weidemann this year.

From what I've seen so far, next years talent at 9-12 would rival this year's 6 (or where it will eventually fall at 8-10 depending on how academy selection bidding goes). The best in this years crop will be gone by the time we pick.

If you look at Hawthorn's line up on GF day as a template they have Roughead, Schoenmakers, Hale & Gunston as tall forward options rotating through various positions in the forward line throughout a game. We currently have Hogan & Dawes. We need a player who can replace Dawes as he is not at the adequate standard to provide something going forward, we also need a forward ruck option. We currently have Howe & Watts as forward options however I think the club would happily trade either of those two if it could net us a more reliable marking & scoring option/s. We really only have Hogan & potentially Frost that are of the adequate standard to take us up the ladder, trading in at least another tall with efficient skills & marking ability is essential for us to challenge for finals. Hogan won't be able to do it alone, even the best forwards need a sidekick. Just look at Dermie & Dunstall or Brown, Brayshaw & Lynch or last Saturday's game of Roughead, Schoenmakers, Gunston & Hale if you need convincing.

I just think a Howe Prestia swap makes alot of sense, we may have to give up next years 1st round pick as well.

I'd rather give up next years 1st Rnd pick than this years. IF we can get Prestia now, via trading Howe & our 2016 1st Rnd pick, lets do that.

.... that gives us a chance to take a tall this draft, 1st up, & get a season into them by this time next year..... if we were to lose Hogan in years to come, in some way, then we've had some time spent developing the new tall forward.

I'd trade our 1st rounder this year, 1st rounder next year and howe for Prestia and Omeara.

Heck, if they ask nicely, I'll throw in terlich.

I wouldn't; I'd trade our 2015 2nd Rnd pick & Howe; 2016 1st & 2nd Rnd picks; & possibly Spencer after they lose 2 of they're talls this year.

Casboult doesn't play in the ruck. He plays forward and pinch hits in the ruck. Was also a rookie elevation rather then someone good enough to be mini drafted a year early.

Remember we're looking for someone to compliment Hogan and fit in with our structure. Not someone to be Hogan's equal.

You want to see Dunn or Tom McDonald going up against Goldstein in the ruck when Gawn needs a rest be my guest.

You made the comparison...

...and I don't think a player like Casboult will compliment Hogan & fit our structure.
