There are a few whispers about that Matt's future. Not sure of his contract status but any takers on a trade for this kid?

OOC this year, was thought that he would leave to head back to Adelaide, but heard he's now listening to Collingwood's contract offers.

Think he's over his injury issues now.

Given his problems with his feet, and our track record with foot injuries, it would be best if we steered clear.

If the club listened to everyones advice on Demonland we'd stay clear of everyone.

People forget how [censored] [censored] we are, and almost anyone is better than what we have.

sometimes I think that we hear far too many Chinese whispers, from the legal fraternity & others in legal know. I wonder how many players its turned us off in the past decades, & how that has effected us then, & now re our recent soft culture.

it may have hurt us a lot along the way... we like, the culture seems to like safe options, & safe options may not fail,,, but maybe they never succeed.

you can't make great footy without having players willing to get down & dirty.

lets roll up the sleeves & fight.

If he leaves it wont be because Collingwood want to get rid of him. Adelaide or Collingwood

Really annoys me how kids can come out of their first contract and basically demand a trade to their club of choice these days.

I REALLY wanted to draft this kid. I would love us to go after him. Good age to fit with our group, has speed and power, and the type of attitude we are trying to cultivate in our young group.

Absolutely yes.

If he wants to move after 2 years at a club who have nurtured him through injury then I'm not sure that is the attitude we're trying to cultivate.

Yeah we should probably never trade for anyone then hey? Anyone who's willing to leave their club we don't want....

Have you stopped to consider that maybe they haven't "nurtured" him? Maybe they haven't done the right thing by him? Maybe he doesn't like the culture there?

Have all your girlfriends been virgins when you met them? ;)

Point is that they can try, but they can't always get their way.

It has always been like this though - kids could walk into the PSD after their first contract if they wanted to leave.

Buckley?

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
